Interesting statement from someone who lost the mobile race. Problem is that there are way to many crappy Android phones on the marked, quality is to spread. The good ones are up at Apple prices anyway, so when Windows Phone stopped I switched to Apple, mainly cause of ease of use, I also mainly run MS apps on it, since I think Apples apps are as as Googles.2 points -

Not if you install safe applications. Also, you can use any application that will never ever be for IOS. Android is open source, owners can modify the source code of their Android devices. This appeals to users who want the flexibility to change the way their mobile devices run. But it can also make Android devices vulnerable to attacks. When altering their device’s source code, users could accidentally leave an opening for cybercriminals. iOS operating system that only runs on Apple-branded products, the Android operating system runs on mobile devices manufactured by a host of companies. Some companies might provide hardware that is more secure than others. Moreover, the manufacturer of the device can use a custom ROM or base operating system that has software installed that cannot be easily removed or analyzed for malicious intent. security patch does not mean the system is safe and most user dont care about seeurity patch. android become a larger econoysystem now so vulnerable to attaks and open source, windows and ios are closed source my less tempting to target come to android.1 point -

MacBook Pro 13 (M1) review: A heck of a start for Apple, but not very pro

The Intel MBP is recommended because this entire series is sponsored by Intel. Intel must be paying a lot. Even Jon Rettinger caved in to the sweet sponsorship $$$ and made a video slamming the MacBook and promoting Intel Evo even though he is an avid user of Macs.1 point -

I've often found hardware reviews on Neowin to be quite amateur and to recommend the Intel MacBook Pro over the Apple Silicon ones just about sums this site up. No one should be buying Intel Macs unless there's a phenomenal deal to be had. The future for Mac hardware is very much the in-house silicon and to recommend Intel devices that won't even be able to run the iOS/iPadOS apps natively (which will become a big thing in the near future) is just ridiculous.1 point -

A proper review would have been to compare performance to an Intel MBP. That you don’t notice the difference in performance between a latest gen Intel Windows 10 laptop and the MBP says a lot more about the performance than you think.1 point -

I've dumped Android after 8 years and I'm second year on iOS. Couldn't be happier. Just the way how updates are delivered and for how long is worth the limitations or weird things unique to Apple. Also people who say iOS is so much worse are full of s**t. It's very similar with cons and pros on both side. But calling one or another superior or inferior shows people have no clue at all.1 point -

wouldn't say hate, MS and Apple have been friends from the start just go back and look at the deals they've made since the Apple 1 days, they are just highly competitive.. MS wrote BASIC for the original Apples, wrote word processors for them, all kinds of software... Apple also gave MS some stuff they made too. They've been odd friends from the start, even Gates and Jobs were friends who would call each other to talk about stuff1 point -

So have they explained what happened to begin with, why the account was locked? And then what happened to change the mentality from, "we won't work with you because it's a liability" to "we're back in business"? It seemed to be quite a strong sentiment, so that 180 is quite the backtrack.1 point -

Hello, The founders of this company are: • Nirav Patel, who worked at Apple and founded Oculus • Chris Lombardozzi, who worked at Shore Power and Xiamen ENRY • Kieran Larent, who also worked at Oculus and at Cobalt Digital • Po Yu Chen, who worked at Asus, Lenovo, HTC, Compal, and MSI • Kate Chouinard, who worked at Sphero and Dell • Lauren Mitchell, who also worked at Sphero • Adila Lai, who worked at Google, HPE, Mitsui, NXP and P&G • Jehan Suleman, who worked at MakerBot and those are just a few whose employment history I could figure out via LinkedIn and personal blogs. From looking through them, I see a lot of supply chain experience with China, Taiwan and the US, manufacturing, designing and even some founders of successful companies. Will they possibly have some manufacturing problems along the way? Possibly. But they have also assembled a group of folks who have been involved in the manufacture of other laptops, VR headsets, robots, servers, monitors, as well as consumer goods, to name a few things. So, it pretty much sounds like they've assembled a good team to deal with those issues. I did note that they currently have eight open positions listed on their website. Perhaps you should apply for one so you can bring your rich supply chain experience and knowledge of driving a company to their organization to prevent the apocalyptic vision you have described. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky Thank you so much Aryeh for posting an extensive researched based summary, of what I knew was happening Yes, the team is rock solid, and unlike other startups, this company has a fighting chance! No guarantees though, we have seen enough of major figures moving to support something that is new, and it failed. But this one is looking pretty good, unlike NEW startups. But this one looks A OK!1 point -

Sounds like someone doesn't remember their Windows history very well. Explorer didn't exist in 3.1, that was File Manager, which was VERY different. Explorer was added in Windows 95 and had basically NO features. Explorer has gotten small but meaningful changes over the years. XP was probably the first version where Explorer wasn't crap, but Win7 added some nice features, as did Win10 (most of the Win10 improvements where added with Win8 to be honest, but we have all agreed that never happened).1 point -

I guess I'm one of the few who actually use the folder. Whenever I model something for 3D printing, or download something from Thingiverse, 3d Objects is where it goes. Once the model is sliced ready to print, the gcode file goes in there too. It's my understanding the actual folder isn't going, just the 'front and center' link 'This PC'.1 point -

"Explorer seems to be the one thing that everyone uses on a constant, daily basis. Yet it seems that MS has had little to do with over the years since 3.1" - because it's the most used component(s) of Windows, there's whole lot of first and thirdparty programs that depend on how it is; hence for backwards-compatibility reason, MS can only do little changes without outraging a whole lot of enterprise customers. And this applies to a whole lot of Windows components. Hopefully Windows 10X seems to be doing a lot of moves in the right direction1 point -

The term racist/racism is way over used and applied to many situations where it has no business to be. The terms are losing their meaning. Society is becoming a way where anything said or done, people can take offense. Like what to be called. My response to such a question will be along the lines of.... "Sir, do you identify as a human. Negative, I am a meat Popsicle" Because I will always have silly answer for silly questions like this.1 point -
