Microsoft doesn't move fast enough, doesn't justify the moves it does make well enough, and doesn't have loyal fans. Next generation of windows will be a moderate ui tweak. Windows 10x is doa, and i'm saying that as somebody who wants it on my devices, but the rest of the market won't.

  8. Neowin should keep up with the times... $500 for a 3070? Maybe for Alice before she pops back up from the rabbit hole. If.. and I mean, IF this card is sold by retailers, much less AMD for that price.. and in real world tests show that it's within 5 to 10% of a 3060Ti.. than I'll most likely, for the first time.. go full AMD. 3060/70/80/90 cards on Newegg are still no where to be seen... and the 3070 starts there at $750.. topping near $900. The 3090 is priced equivalent to your first car you get when you're a teen.

  9. If dealing with multiple home users, people should be encouraged to create separate Windows logins for each person, thus eliminating the need for these 'profile' features to span multiple people. (Giving users Security, privacy, control, family safety settings, etc.) A single person having multiple profiles (work, school, personal) is when profiles like this should be used, not for multiple people.

With or without 10X, WinUI 3/Project Reunion would've been enough for an entirely new OS in any other decade. It feels like Win10 is about to undergo a rather huge change in that regards. .NET 5 and 6 are also excellent. For once I'm actually excited about where Windows and possibly Xbox are going. The negative side of me is eager to see yet another digit added to the always slow to install Cumulative .Net updates.

In comparison a family member got covid and has been left with a permanent fatigue and not exactly a pemanent shortness of breath but their breathing has deteriorated quite a bit... You don't think a short arm ache and headache that go (not talking about any of the american vaccines) quickly are worth not getting permanent health effects? But the vaccine is really effective and for how long? It's amazing that these questions continue to be asked... maybe you should re-eval your news sources. This information has been available for months. Yes they're effective, and yes, we'll likely need boosters that would be included in an annual flu vaccine. Can you answer it? Moderna says (textually) we warranty a year. But if you believe in it, then you must be an idiot. Why? I don't need to prove anything but they need to prove (why? because IT IS THE BASE OF THE SCIENCE, PROOF OR BUST!) and (shocking surprise) it is impossible to do an empirical test of a year in less than a year. So, they are speculating. Speculationon is not science!. People claim science but where is science here?. Science means the use of the scientist method. Otherwise is ignorance in disguse. Question: WHERE IS THE SCIENCE HERE?. Papers, please show me some papers that show real information. Source for where Moderna has a "warranty" for one year....I mean it is "textually" so you should be able to link to it? It feels like Win10 is about to undergo a rather huge change in that regards. .NET 5 and 6 are also excellent. For once I'm actually excited about where Windows and possibly Xbox are going. There's also hints that maybe they're going to make a branding change. If all the above that you pointed out + the talked about UI changes come true for 21H2, it might be time to drop the 10 from the naming. With each update having it's own clear label with 21H1 and 21H2, there's no need for the 10 in the name, though it'll show up in the version info if people look. I think this would also help with branding 10X, which I don't think is anywhere near DOA like some others. It's a clear cut chromeOS competitor, so it can release without legacy win32 app support to start because it's going right to education and specific business cases that have adopted chromebooks for now. Later in 2022 if all goes to plan and they turn the win32 support back on then it'll be pushed to more consumers I bet.

Moderna in a conference call with JP Morgan (guessing they want some money) said that vaccine should last a year. Should is a forward-looking statement which is neither a promise nor a guarantee. Has Moderna stated to the public that they guarantee the vaccine will last a year? Moderna's CEO said it may last years ... saying that "The antibody decay generated by the vaccine in humans goes down very slowly." https://www.reuters.com/articl...derna-vaccine-idUSKBN29C0YK ....but none of these are "guarantees" and Moderna's officially says that "The duration of protection against COVID‑19 is currently unknown."

  26. But please refrain from using this archaic, outdated form of address. It belongs to the Victorian era; nowadays, it's just tacky and sexist. Ahem. Like "Ladies and Gentlemen", "good sir or madam" is precisely the OPPOSITE of "sexist", by definition. I'm making sure I am addressing a man or a woman, instead of making an assumption (typically male, patriarchal). So, no, I'll use it whenever and wherever I want. Especially when I want to be extra polite and/or formal (with a hint of funny), which is what I was actually doing. Meanwhile, please refrain from posting with a stick up your keister.

But the vaccine is really effective and for how long? Yes it is https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-56083905 and only real world testing will show for how long it lasts. You can't do 10 years worth of white blood cell checking in a lab in a month, that's not how it works. And in response to your other claim "* AstraZeneca and Johnsons & Johnsons = I think they are a copy of Moderna. Just a couple of weeks ago, AstraZeneca owned shares of Moderna" this is nonsense, they are nothing alike. Moderna and pfizer are both RNA, Astrazenica is a modified virus, you can get this information from a 5 second search pretty easily, see https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-55274833 about half way down the page. It comes down to unless you have passed at least college level biology you need to rely on experts. If you can't rely on experts (or know what constitutes one) then it's probably time for more formal education as opposed to the school of google\facebook\twitter.

  43. It is the consensus by the experts (yes, experts...I know that is a dirty word for your type) that taking the vaccine, wearing masks and social distancing are appropriate steps to take to minimize both catching the virus and spreading it to loved ones. Define what is your definition of an expert for this situation? The vaccines have at most 6 months of testing and during the testing, they cut corner in every single aspect (self-testing = no testing at all). Can you show me a formal paper that documents the testings? I believe in vaccines but not in all vaccines. IMHO : * Pfizer = The worse of the bunch. * Moderna = so much risk of side effects. * AstraZeneca and Johnsons & Johnsons = I think they are a copy of Moderna. Just a couple of weeks ago, AstraZeneca owned shares of Moderna. * Sinovac = the best by far (and cheaper). * Sputnik = it's another that is working fine Aaaaand in one post you managed to prove why Twitter are doing this and what a good thing it will be. Astrazenica has formal papers that shows how they did the testing. Why are Phizer the worse of the bunch? Hows the AstraZenica and J&J vaccine that use historic ways to make vaccine the same as the RNA vaccine from others? Why is Sinovac with an effacacy of just 50% better than the others? You spout opinions which then makes it harder to actually combat the pandemic.

I know! I have a dedicated app for PDF viewing / editing (PhantomPDF), and every now and again, Windows has some "problem" with it and resets it back to Edge. Give me a break! I've had it happen to me a couple times, usually after a version upgrade. I call shenanigans honestly. We have to manually change the stupid default PDF app, but Microsoft can "oops" and reset it on an update... seems kinda whack.
