Windows 10 build 21332 removes 3D Viewer and Paint 3D on clean installs

Onedrive next please! OneDrive is integral to assimilating users into the Microsoft ecosystem, it is not going anywhere. It has to be updated anyway, so clearly it doesn’t need to be there since we all know MS doesn’t know what a differential update is. All they are doing is downloading a new version. So again, there is no point in including it. Especially since it’s on the store, can be downloaded from the site, and is included with Microsoft 365. Yeah, while we are at it, lets remove the Mail and Calendar apps too, and Maps, and Alarms and Clock, pfft, who uses that. Camera? I've got my phone for that. Photos? No thanks I'll roll my own. Popular apps Netflix, Spotify and Candy Crush on my PC? How dare you! And the stuff nobody ever opens, like Tips, Get Help and whatnot. Also pretty much everything under Windows Accessories and Windows Administrative tools, who uses that? Admins know what they need. We've got downloadable tools like Power Toys that gives us features when we actually need it. We will download the tools or have a handy pen drive with this stuff wherever we go. People shouldn't touch Regedit unless they know what they are doing, why bother having it accessible? Why ever defrag in the age of SSDs? Ease of Access tools? Why bother with that? Microsoft sells the Xbox Adaptive Controller separately, why can't they just make a separate SKU for folks who need it? Windows Explorer is POS. Microsoft Edge bundling is anti-competitive... ... ... ...Wait a second, why are there any apps and programs on my PC when I set it up? Just give me PowerShell and I will take it from there. Wow, miss the point much? Nah, absurd comments need absurd replies. Nothing is absurd about leaving software included in other installers or can be downloaded, out of the base OS. The version included just becomes outdated and replaced anyway. Microsoft Edge gets updated every 6 weeks (any web browser for that matter). People might not get an update for OneDrive, but they will surely get a browser update when they first setup their PC. What's your stance on that? Shall we just stop shipping OSes with a web browser in it? My point is simple. Features that get used the most will obviously be bundled, even if you are not the target user. Sometimes apps are bundled for promotional reasons. Nothing wrong with that (up to a limit). Give me a way to uninstall it without much fuss, and I am fine. Your needs are not the same as everyone else's. In fact, HP laptops come preinstalled with Dropbox. I am totally fine with that too, despite the fact that I use OneDrive. Be happy that people are getting an option (or even promotion) to use Cloud storage out of the box. Far too many people don't know to sync their stuff up to the cloud and lose everything with their device (I know Cloud storage is not a proper backup solution, but its better than nothing).4 points -

Onedrive next please! 😂 nope yep. It can be downloaded. it's not going anywhere. you guys need to stop QQing about a few MB's. Its better they add this to the MS Store or 365 installer. Most people don't want or need OneDrive. Every Windows 10 device I setup for customers want it gone. It places itself in File Explorer, startup, runs in system tray, recreates itself on each user profile, sfc adds it back to the start menu... One less trash to remove would be nice. There are 47.5 Million users of O365 M365 consumer version as per their latest quarterly results and 250 Million Office 365 users. This is only going to rise. Many more using the free tier and many, many more indifferent to OneDrive's bundling in their PCs. This number more than warrants itself that it makes more sense for Microsoft to ensure OneDrive/Office experience immediately out of the box than tell all these folks to install it every time they get a new PC. Please don't cite anecdotal evidence. I can too.3 points -

Onedrive next please! OneDrive? Hopefully not lol. Why? Is downloading hard? is uninstalling hard? Nope. But if people are going to whine about little crap like Paint 3D, (and they have in the past), we might as well mention that OneDrive doesn’t need to be there either. But hey, if you like the whole opt-out (which is basically what uninstalling is doing, opting out of bloat) approach, more power to ya. On the other hand, Microsoft actually knows how many people use each app and can make decisions based on that. So seriously, why are we even talking about this?3 points -

Agreed. I personally feel that a base install should contain the OS not apps that few people use - they should be store downloads. This is a step in the right direction. I agree. That being said, I do believe the classic MS Paint (not Paint 3D) is a core OS component. Paint has served me well in emergency troubleshooting scenarios where I needed to quickly open and convert images and perform cropping on a crippled PC where 3rd party apps and UWP components would become non-functional. It’s a lightweight but super rebust app, on par with NotePad. You can kill most of Windows services and the app still functions. That is why I am saddened to see Paint 3D being abandoned. Not because of Paint 3D app itself but because Microsoft made some quality of life improvements to the app, which the base ms paint would benefit from. Now those improvements will have been forgotten about. I really hoped some of those improvements (where they make sense) would make their way to MS Paint proper.2 points -

I don't know if it's going to be or is dropped development wise but it's clear that 3D printers haven't taken off like they thought and consumers aren't using it enough to create 3D art. Wanted a diff color than the normal grays, black, whites, or reds. Was either this color (blue flame), or the Lunar Rock. But the later did not have a sun roof so we went with the Blue Flame. I am liking the color tho and will not be hard to find in a parking lot for sure. Drives nice, Apple/Android Auto as well. Live in AZ but decided to go with the XLE as the model higher has the leather seats. And leather seats in 110+ weather does not feel good when wearing shorts. Car came with the convenience package package which includes things like the moon roof and push button trunk open/close. Color looks better in the sun. Brighter.1 point -
