  1. Windows 10X reportedly delayed once again

You want to kill a product you haven't seen yet and don't have to use anyway? Product I have seen, tried and don't want Windows to go that way. It's hard to imagine that there are still people at Microsoft that haven't learned the Windows RT, 10 S, and S mode, which also didn't let users run what they wanted (at least with S mode you can upgrade to full Windows 10). Why they keep trying to develop a half-baked Chromebook "killer" seems like insanity, when Windows 10 with a little more love and QA attention, so far fewer random bugs (like this months printing bug) are seen. I've had many customers that have grown to dislike Windows 10 due to having been hit with one or more random bugs that wound up costing them money to have fixed.

Please, kill it with fire. Fire of a server where the source code for this terribleness is stored

It tickles me that when people actually had to be productive they realized their phones and tablets wouldn't cut it.

Lack of Win32 will make it a failure on day one. We have a track record of pseudo-Windows such as Windows RT and Windows S mode failing because of lack of Win32. Just too many apps are used especially on home workers PCs. Apple had to add Rosetta for m1 macs, Chromebooks had to add Android and Linux support. Microsoft will have to add their compatibility layer too.

Yet another delayed product release...I would've actually cared if I enjoyed using Windows...which I no longer do.

Yep, exactly like Apple was when they did the Ads. Except intel isn't flat out lying to people, so that is new.

You cannot play a video game with graphics requirements from 20 years ago?! DirectX 9 was originally released in 2002 (for Windows XP). i think he missed the /s or you just choose to ignore it was

Microsoft has enough problems just maintaining Windows-10 as a barely tolerable OS. The unintended consequences of needless complexity in the OS and branching out into all types of other ventures.

Disagreed. I'd take it over Win10 anyday once the Win32 support is in it.

  15. Windows 10 build 21337 is out with a bunch of new features

I think that's the case except for touch screens with keyboard detached. It's not. Desktop PC here and had to go to View, Options, Change Folder and Search Options, View tab, scroll way down to "Use compact mode", check, and OK at the bottom to get rid of the giant spacing between elements.

It's an Insider Preview, 'Captain Hilarious'. If you don't want bugs, stick with the regular builds. I wasn't able to print for several days using a regular build last week. Last week, you said you were on ChromeOS. You have zero credibility.

  30. I'm sure a bunch of people are going to hate on this because it's not focusing on the big AAA titles everyone goes gaga over. There's always some nice gems to be found in the indie scene though, and they should get time to shine IMO.

  33. Looks pretty, for sure. I'm worried though that it'll suffer from the same issues as AoE3, where 3D looks better but isn't as usable as an isometric view. We'll see, though. Oh yes the original AOE/ROR and AOK/AOC had their own magic. Very much easy to play.

What wifi router/ap are you using? First things first - when you plug in a wire to your router what do you get? Is this device something you bought, supplied by the isp? AC is never going to see gig.. AX ok maybe.. but not AC, not from couple of streams you could get from some usb adapter.. So from that link you posted, model number JW-812AC shows 1300, which is adding the 2.4 and the 5.. Which you can not use together.. So they list 5ghz at 867 PHY.. which is 2 streams 80 vht.. So if your router or AP can do that.. Say 50% real world of that so your in the 400ish range at best. But I find it hard to believe some $10 usb dongle is going to get that to be honest.. And again comes down to what your router or AP can actually do as well.. What is the model number(s) of the hardware you are using to supply wifi, and whatever that is never going to be able to exceed what you can get via a wire.. Maybe the router your using can not even do gig? If you have gig internet, the only way your going to get close to that via wireless is have a AX, both on your Router/AP side and on the client side..

  35. Although I can understand where you're coming from, ray-tracing is probably the most exciting development in the field in a generation. That said, we can realistically not take advantage of ray-tracing today without DLSS, so... there's that. I hope they keep refining DLSS, and don't abandon it, because it's incredible. There's currently too much ghosting and blurriness for my liking, but it's still a worthwhile trade-off to enjoy "RTX" effects.

If they'd launched when they were supposed to the client would've been garbage. I don't dislike the EA Desktop app as it is now but it's still not ready to replace Origin. Close now, so most people might not notice.
