  1. Not exactly. You delete a tweet AFTER it is sent out. Undo tweet gives you 5 seconds to rethink your tweet BEFORE it is sent out. If you're going to pay for "Undo" for a 5 second delay... I have a bridge in Arizona I'd like to sell you. There's a free time delay built into the time it takes to start typing, and before you click "Send". But... if Twitter wants to make money off the dumb, who am I to stop them.

  3. Twitter might let you 'undo' tweets in the future... if you pay for it

Undo? As in... replace the "Delete Tweet" option that's already there? Sure.. let's pay to undo something that, A: you can delete.. and B: someone is going to screen capture that puppy if it's humiliating and save it for you.

At $1,249.99, why is it "incredibly good value" when it only comes with a 4 core processor?

  8. Ring Video Doorbells are up to 18% off at Amazon today

Nah. Amazon can continue to profit off HOA regulations and the real estate rental industry. Also, these things are now subject to warrantless access by law enforcement. IIRC, Palantir is also involved.

  11. This post isn't code related, it's "web" (kinda). @mods feeel free to move to appropiate forum. My Family business has been in service for 20+years, but an area that was never considered , and never really injected any budget, was the graphical part. i.e. internal or external (clients) memos that should look from a professional business and not made from an undergraduate, or worse yet, from me. Last year we hired someone that made our logo (loved it!) which also guided us what type of font and colors our brand should be. Due to personal reasons, he put his business on-hold. What a shame, just as I wanted to hire him for more things. So now we're basically back to square one, only difference we have the 'backbone' to making the business image, and now back to a no-budget position So now what I'm missing is actually doing the memos. I'm an IT background guy, so I think in black/white and notepad and I'm done. So I need the help of a service/site that will be easy to make memos (even if I have to pay for it...a minor price is ok, but if it's costs $200 bucks that's a big NO). Any suggestions? I heard canva.com can help, is it that really awesome and easy? I do have in mind several memos (at the moment about 10 differente emails), so standardizing the brand is a big deal

If you can access it via computer name and IP just map a drive or create a shortcut. When I access drives on the network a good chunk I have mapped and the rest I always just do windows key +r and then \\computer name\share name.

Open Services - Look for Network Location Awareness - Is it set to automatic? Is it started? If not start it and set it to automatic and reboot. On both computers... Also on both computers, Click start type Network Status and click Network Status when it appears. Are they both on a Private Network, make sure both are private.

  27. I'm getting my Stadia kit today despite having lots of kit so I'll take this one. Silence. Not having to download or patch anything to play it. Not having to waste storage space on parts of games you may be nowhere near, or other languages, or multiplayer bits if you don't even do that. I could go on, but those are pretty good reasons to me.

  28. Amazon Prime Video lands exclusive NFL broadcast rights

Let's get real here. People don't want to pirate a LIVE game stream. That's why Amazon paid what they paid. People want to watch the games as they are happening, not later and not have the outcome spoiled for them as soon as its over.

  29. Really? Everyone knows! It's a cumulative update, so it contains every update Microsoft has ever released to this date. Ten years ago, we used to refer to this kind of update as "service pack". and those cumulative updates are great, but can't windows 10 be smart enough to see that you already have all the updates and just give you a micro update? People already complain that it takes too long to install CUs. You now want MS to build a scanning utility that will determine what is eligible and not, and cherry pick what's needed only? There would be tons of complaints. I guess MS could go the way of Linux and offer 234982348792348921389712390123 individual updates.

  31. They are not lucky, they anticipated these issues and built a clean ecosystem It's messy work vs carefully designed work Microsoft is showing it again, windows team is POORLY managed And the head is clueless and blind What? No... The difference is Apple and Google control the HARDWARE on those platforms. That was not an option for Microsoft in the 80's when Windows came on the scene.

  33. Oh absolutely. The company should not even need to THINK about protecting itself in any way. Its just that today parents seem to need an excuse for either bad parenting or their child turning out bad regardless of their upbringing. I class myself as a good parent, yet if my son turned out to be a rapist, I wouldn't blame myself as I have taught him right from wrong. I also wouldn't blame cartoons etc. IMO there is no one to blame but himself. He knew right from wrong and chose the wrong path, those are on his back and he has to deal with the fallout from that, not me and certainly not a company who makes cartoons! The thing that I also find crazy is that in SOME cases where the parents ARE to blame, for example if they simply haven't taught their child right from wrong (the type that would hit a teacher because they gave their son bad grades etc.), those are the ones that also go on to blame everything and society for their Childs issues later in life, instead of admitting the fault lays firmly with themselves.

  35. Murphy's Law hey Microsoft. I really don't like defending MS but let's be honest. While definitely embarrassing for MS this type of issue is inevitable from time to time given the millions of different set ups and user generated changes to settings. Apple and ChromeOS should thank their lucky stars that they don't have the dog's breakfast of configurations to deal with that MS has to deal with.

  39. Windows 10X reportedly delayed once again

You want to kill a product you haven't seen yet and don't have to use anyway? Product I have seen, tried and don't want Windows to go that way. It's hard to imagine that there are still people at Microsoft that haven't learned the Windows RT, 10 S, and S mode, which also didn't let users run what they wanted (at least with S mode you can upgrade to full Windows 10). Why they keep trying to develop a half-baked Chromebook "killer" seems like insanity, when Windows 10 with a little more love and QA attention, so far fewer random bugs (like this months printing bug) are seen. I've had many customers that have grown to dislike Windows 10 due to having been hit with one or more random bugs that wound up costing them money to have fixed.
