Nier: Automata is being review-bombed on Steam because the Game Pass version is better
Squirrelington and 3 others reacted to Nick H. for a topic
For some reason when I think of review-bombing I think of a game being given negative reviews for unjust reasons. But if the Steam version has unresolved issues that the Game Pass version does not, doesn't it make sense for the reviewers to say, "don't bother with this version, get the Game Pass version instead"?4 points -
Alleged details on Intel's 12th-gen 'Alder Lake' processor and platform leak out
n_K and 3 others reacted to Sirtuin for a topic
I've read a while ago that Intel's 10nm is comparable to TSMC 7nm in density. That may be, but there is increased power and heat. AMD is going to 5nm soon, so its just more catch up. "Nanometers" have been purely marketing terms for years, and Intel, Samsung or TSMC can't tell what part of their transistor is 10, 7 or 5nm. Obviously Intel has had huge problems and delays with their manufacturing techniques, and I'd be surprised if Alder Lake fixed all their troubles, since it's still at their "10nm" process. If you say so. Here's good video showing how Intel's 14nm and TSMC 7nm compare and look under electron microscope: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kQUXpZpLXI4 points -

Do they really need to? Apple silicon is really only an option if you are a MacOS user. I don't see many people switching from x86 to ARM just in the Windows world on the desktop. Intel seems to be pretty scared of what Apple Silicon represents, given how Intel sponsored comparisons across sites (including Neowin), their silly GoPC ad campaign, reusing people that were in Apple ads, et cetera.2 points -

Twitter might let you 'undo' tweets in the future... if you pay for it
mip and one other reacted to xMorpheousx416 for a topic
Not exactly. You delete a tweet AFTER it is sent out. Undo tweet gives you 5 seconds to rethink your tweet BEFORE it is sent out. If you're going to pay for "Undo" for a 5 second delay... I have a bridge in Arizona I'd like to sell you. There's a free time delay built into the time it takes to start typing, and before you click "Send". But... if Twitter wants to make money off the dumb, who am I to stop them.2 points -

Q15 Mini Spy Camera 4K HD lightning deal sees 32% off at Amazon
mip reacted to n_K for a topic
6 hours battery life, what do you expect? This would need a good strong 2.4GHz Wifi signal in order to work, no matter the deal ended already but what do you really expect for that price? Maybe if they had just gone with FullHD and not 4K UHD they might have been able to provide more battery life and a better wifi aerial, idk. Something to work? You're the one promoting this and putting your name to it, not me. Likewise - you should justify the reasons, not me.1 point -

I mean, that's cool and all, and I still highly recommend the game. Still, they should fix the issues it has on Steam. If I'm gonna complain to devs that the games they release on the Windows Store / Xbox Game Pass need to work as good as their Steam counterparts, then it should only be the same in reverse. This isn't about what store you're a fan of, but having higher expectations as a consumer.1 point -

What about the existing Steam gamers who have paid for it? This is a disservice to them. Many gamers don't have/want Game Pass yet. A cross platform game should have feature parity across platforms.1 point -
Microsoft releases additional updates to resolve some more printer problems
+Warwagon reacted to cork1958 for a topic
Really? Everyone knows! It's a cumulative update, so it contains every update Microsoft has ever released to this date. Ten years ago, we used to refer to this kind of update as "service pack". and those cumulative updates are great, but can't windows 10 be smart enough to see that you already have all the updates and just give you a micro update? People already complain that it takes too long to install CUs. You now want MS to build a scanning utility that will determine what is eligible and not, and cherry pick what's needed only? There would be tons of complaints. I guess MS could go the way of Linux and offer 234982348792348921389712390123 individual updates. Well, how about a version number check. If you have 19042.867 (example) then you have the last cumulative update installed. Then have this small update. If you have anything but that number you get cumulative. Sounds like a great idea, to me and why did we need another cumulative update after just getting one a couple weeks ago. We all know MS doesn't update that fast. Also, I forgot that it said that last update was a cumulative update. As far as what adrynalyne said about updating the way Linux does, that would be great. Heck, I can install Linux and update it faster than Windows installs these cumulative updates. MS used to do it the Linux way. People forget history way too easily. Remember the multi-hour Windows updates from Windows 7? Don't know about you, but I never had a multi hour update on Windows 7. As far as remembering history, I miss the days of going to windowsupdate.com and getting downloads. Went much faster back then even on dial up, as far as actually installing the updates.1 point -
Nier: Automata is being review-bombed on Steam because the Game Pass version is better

Interesting point, but I've always viewed it with the core aspect being a coordinated effort. Just skimmed through some online definitions and the coordinated effort to review something negatively seems to be the gist of most definitions https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wik...roduct%20or%20its%20vendor.1 point -

Any website/service that will allow me to make nice memos for my business?
goretsky reacted to +Dick Montage for a question
So you have someone who has created the basis of a visual brand for you: colour, typography and so on. Any semi-decent designer could run with that and do an OK job. What I would suggest is that you work with someone who can "understand" the brand, why the colour choice, why the typography, what you are trying to achieve through these choices and how the layout options will work for you. Understand your audience, understand your objectives, and so on. If you want to PM me, I can certainly take a look at your logo and maybe put a couple of ideas together.1 point -

Features WhatsApp has that Telegram doesn't: Stories Features Telegram has that WhatsApp doesn't: That's a long, long list. Your useless feature is another person's great addition. Also for the record, I see all participants in the participants list in my meetings, even those who joined with a link and weren't invited directly. I don't have to wait for them to speak. Maybe file a case with support as that doesn't sound right to me. > It is still just as horrible and buggy as on day 1. No, no it's not. It still has bugs and issues, sure. But it is nowhere near as bad 3+ years ago when it first came out, not by a long shot, and it's considered a great product here at the company I work for. Revolutionary in fact. Suggesting that it is as bad as on day 1 of release is frankly nonsense.1 point -
