I've got the Galaxy Buds+ and I don't really use the ambient sound option, mostly when playing around. But when I have turned them on, after a few moments of getting used to the new noises it's been pretty surprising how well I've been able to hear the people talking to me. Although some of the time that's why I've put my earphones on, to drown them out.4 points -

HP announces new Envy laptops for creators with Intel 11th-gen and AMD Ryzen 5000

Do you have to be a creator to purchase a device you want? My point is that people are being targeted as they're "creators". Obviously, I can go and buy the thing, I don't see a label on the website of the vendor that says "for creators only". I’m not understanding the issue I guess. You don’t like the marketing demographic? I’ve never paid attention to those.2 points -

Nier: Automata is being review-bombed on Steam because the Game Pass version is better
Squirrelington and one other reacted to Nick H. for a topic
For some reason when I think of review-bombing I think of a game being given negative reviews for unjust reasons. But if the Steam version has unresolved issues that the Game Pass version does not, doesn't it make sense for the reviewers to say, "don't bother with this version, get the Game Pass version instead"?2 points -

Well on iOS you are forced to use that garbage browser, and it can't be updated independently of the OS. Horrible design, horrible browser1 point -

tried running pihole. I didn't have the best luck, wouldn't block anything. No idea why. Went through all the troubling shooting steps. Had it as my DNS. I'd set it as my DNS i'd flush old DNS, i'd go to yahoo and there would be aids all over the page. PiHole cannot block self-hosted ads. Also, the out of box experience is set to be safe, not thorough. It works best with custom block lists, and unbound. Any device that has a hard-coded DNS entry in it, will ignore PiHole.1 point -

6 hours battery life, what do you expect? This would need a good strong 2.4GHz Wifi signal in order to work, no matter the deal ended already but what do you really expect for that price? Maybe if they had just gone with FullHD and not 4K UHD they might have been able to provide more battery life and a better wifi aerial, idk. Something to work? You're the one promoting this and putting your name to it, not me. Likewise - you should justify the reasons, not me.1 point -

I'm thinking the point is maybe it gives you a five second delay before it goes live? Like a live TV broadcast delay haha. What a pointless thing though. If it takes someone five seconds to realize "I shouldn't have posted that" maybe they should stop posting stuff in general.1 point -

Features WhatsApp has that Telegram doesn't: Stories Features Telegram has that WhatsApp doesn't: That's a long, long list. Not exactly. You delete a tweet AFTER it is sent out. Undo tweet gives you 5 seconds to rethink your tweet BEFORE it is sent out. If you're going to pay for "Undo" for a 5 second delay... I have a bridge in Arizona I'd like to sell you. There's a free time delay built into the time it takes to start typing, and before you click "Send". But... if Twitter wants to make money off the dumb, who am I to stop them. Yeah, I agree. I personally don't see the value in it, as I've mentioned in the article1 point -

Justice League (2017) / Snyder Cut (2021)
+Dick Montage reacted to FloatingFatMan for a topic
Apparently it's something to do with IMAX formatting, which is a poor excuse IMO, especially as the trailers were widescreen. Anyway, my take on it. He definitely improved on the original, but a polished turd is still a turd, sorry. It flowed reasonably well, but the end scenes just don't really make any sense. They really should have just eliminated the ruined Earth dream sequences completely (they made even LESS sense than the original cut), and the final bit with the additional character who I shall not mention because spoilers was just... very badly shoehorned in and made bugger all sense to the narrative... Best part of the whole movie is a LOT more backstory for Cyborg. That was neat. All in all, the Snyder Cut moved my rating of Justice League from 5/10 for the original cut, to 7 out of 10. Also, to add... Being in the UK the only way to watch this legally was on Sky Cinema, so I subbed up to NowTV (thankfully on a 7 day trial), and at 7am this morning, I was greeted with "Sorry, but the scheduled movie has been replaced with (something else that's a pile of hot stinky poo)" and they showed some crappy Christmas romcom instead... Needless to say I was apoplectic with rage! It took about 90 minutes for NowTV to have a streamable version available and THAT was rather pixelated from compression artefacts in places... Not exactly the best streaming experience I've had... Should have given it to Netflix.1 point -

Just finished it, 8/10 from me. I didn't notice the 4hrs pass, so it didn't drag IMO. There's a good chunk of setup for a sequel but who knows what WB will do? Honestly if enough fans keep going on about wanting more then it could be another possibility.1 point -
Windows 10X reportedly delayed once again
Emon reacted to seeprime for a topic
You want to kill a product you haven't seen yet and don't have to use anyway? Product I have seen, tried and don't want Windows to go that way. It's hard to imagine that there are still people at Microsoft that haven't learned the Windows RT, 10 S, and S mode, which also didn't let users run what they wanted (at least with S mode you can upgrade to full Windows 10). Why they keep trying to develop a half-baked Chromebook "killer" seems like insanity, when Windows 10 with a little more love and QA attention, so far fewer random bugs (like this months printing bug) are seen. I've had many customers that have grown to dislike Windows 10 due to having been hit with one or more random bugs that wound up costing them money to have fixed.1 point
