Will YouTube use these metrics to understand that videos with extremely high view counts found to be in violation of their guidelines implies a disconnect between what viewers are interested in, what creators are producing, what advertisers are accepting of, and their own guidelines? Nah. Honestly, who's got time for that kind of introspection and open discussion? Pesky stuff, gets in the way of Progress™ too much.4 points -

No pro-create, un-optimized touch apps, lack luster (jittery) pen input, etc... Procreate is the best application for drawing in the IOS. I really like it. However, it is inferior to its desktop counterpart. Which one? all of them. Procreate is cool for sketching but it is not aimed at the pro-market such as Wacom, Huion and alike. The Surface Pro still suffers from jittery and it is a big issue. Lol, there are lot of professionals who use iPad 12' with procreate to do professional drawing work, if you are not skilled enough in procreate that's on you. Yes, they also eat chocolate, drive cars and such but they don't work eating chocolate, or in this case, using an ipad. https://community.wacom.com/eu...1/mike_thompson-768x480.jpg A professional artist (i.e. not YouTubers wannabes) don't use it in their daily work. They could use an Ipad for amusement and leisure but in their spare time. i.e: You can't land a job only knowing Procreate. You shouldn't be fooled by the marketing 🤷♂️ In this case, Procreate has around 30-40 special functionalities. Krita (free) has around 200, more layers than Procreate, more resolution than procreate, more brushes than procreate (Procreate allows the installation of new brushes but with some limits) and such. About layers, Procreate does not have a vector layer, in fact, the support of layers is meh at best. of course, Krita is not for professionals such as Adobe or the Corel suite, it is a free application and it is still way better than Procreate.4 points -

Windows 10X reportedly delayed once again
margrave reacted to Malisk for a topic
Windows 10X is just a Chrome OS competitor. Chrome OS recently overtook macOS so it's getting Microsoft's attention for good reason, and it's even more successful when you single out particular fields like education. This is a very important field to be in for several reasons and Microsoft can't just let their market share keep eroding there now that they lost the mobile war, or they'll eventually become irrelevant among students.1 point -

I don't see any mention of this, but Power BI report sharing used to require readers to have basically paid for the same level of licensing that a report creator would have, so there was never really a way to make a non-public PBI report visible to "anyone in the organization" unless everybody was basically a paid Power BI user. LG is officially shutting down its mobile phone business

LG drops out of Android hardware business because of impossibly low margins, entrenched market-leaders and now growth potential. At the same time, Microsoft: Let's make an Android phone! Making a Windows Surface phone probably wouldn't have made any money either, but it would have made some strategic sense. Surface Duo is a testament to bad management at Microsoft.1 point -

Yes the smartphone sector is incredibly competitive but LG made some really boneheaded design decisions/gimmicks in their phones over the years (throwing away features that were good, not adding what should've been added ages ago, charging same prices as Samsung despite not being in the same position) + very poor software/aftersales support otherwise they would have survived.1 point -

4K vs... well, 4K
goretsky reacted to xMorpheousx416 for a topic
Okay.. so, after some time, I managed to find a GTX 1060 3G for just under $300. She works like a dream. I threw her in, installed the latest 465 series driver, and played the one movie the other card choked on the most. Played without issue. You all nailed it on the head. Without true HEVC hardware support, raw unadulterated 4K data rates can kill a machine faster than malware. 😂 Wasn't running the HTPC server software at all, actually. The HTPC is directly connected to a Samsung 65" 4K UHD via HDMI. The HDMI cable I bought is an 8K version, spec'd at 2.1. She's also the only computer left with optical drives, so it's easier to rip purchased disks with that one, and store them directly on the system. No truer words have been spoken. It's a seller's dream, and a buyer's nightmare out there. I found some 1030s at near $700... and even the least workable solution, the GTX 950/960, were going for about $500. Those cards weren't worth that when they hit the market. I did find some 1660's to 2070s from $190, to $600 respectively... but those were all in China. And with import/export taxes and *cough* tRump's fricken tariffs... I am not spending more money on a card that isn't necessary, or wait for it to get here overseas. So... endgame achieved. I appreciate all the help...1 point -
