As someone that has to frequently move parts around at his workplace I have to say I HATE locking DP cables with a passion. They're a PITA to get out of the back of the monitor sometimes without having to flip the monitor onto the screen. The non-locking DP cables still click into place and hold plenty tight so I see no reason for the locking cables. I had the same opinion with old serial/VGA cables and having to screw them in; but at least that made more sense due to being an analog signal so had to stay as still as possible on the connection. /end-rant3 points -

Khloe Kardashian tries to get unfiltered photo removed from social media 😢
+hedleigh and one other reacted to Steven P. for a topic
As a member of one of the most famous and glamorous families on the planet, Khloe Kardashian is rarely pictured looking less than a million dollars. 🤑 The TV star and social media influencer and her team usually know how to produce the impossibly perfect image. 💃 So after an unfiltered picture was shared to her social media "by mistake" they were keen to have it taken down. 😯 They have asked social media platforms to remove it, although their efforts have spurred others to repost it. 🤮 The natural-looking family photo showed the 36-year-old by a pool in a bikini. 👙 The star appeared unusually unairbrushed: more like an image you would see from your friend's lockdown lido swim session than from any of the Kardashians' previous personal campaign shots for their various brands. 🏊♀️ Kardashian's team said this week the photo infringed her copyright. 😭 Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-56660476 If you dare to look here is the picture of the poor woman on this website https://www.news.com.au/entertainment/celebrity-life/celebrity-photos/khloe-kardashian-photo-we-were-never-meant-to-see/news-story/b51898ab84db00271a09410814706d56 Sending thoughts and prayers to the Kardashian family and the poor woman 😲😭😢2 points -

HDMI vs Display Port
Brandon H reacted to Steven P. for a topic
A major difference with Display Port, and what I hate about it is that if you turn the screen off it acts as if it is disconnected entirely so it can mess with your window positions. It is even worse with a multi monitor setup because then the 2nd monitor makes itself the primary one. HDMI does not do this. Also I hate that most display manufactures still make the ports hard to work with, especially USB ports that are almost impossible to use bottom flat against the back of the display, do they think we only need to use them once? I have CRG49 that includes a USB hub (that is only useful once my PC has booted) since the connectors are so hard to get to I don't even bother using it. At least my old Dell s2716dg screen has the foresight to put a USB3 port on the side of the screen, you know in a really handy place to use!!1 point -

HDMI vs Display Port
jnelsoninjax reacted to Brandon H for a topic
as time goes on and both improve their specs there seems to be less and less difference between them as far as I can tell edit: it also depends on which version of each spec we're working with. here's a good article I came across on PCMag that gives a good understanding of each https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/hdmi-vs-displayport-which-should-i-use-for-my-pc-monitor edit 2: here's another good article I found with a good conclusion paragraph that makes a good point. HDMI so far only officially supports AMD Freesync but DisplayPort supports both Freesync and G-Sync from Nvidia https://www.cablematters.com/blog/HDMI/displayport-vs-hdmi1 point -

I'm sure the windows version of paint has been screwed up with the selection tool, it seems they've changed where the drag areas are, half the time when I use the drag for what I think is the right side, it uses the left side. I never remember such an issue on the windows 7 version of paint in the many years I've used it but I've encoutered the issue many times this year alone on the windows 10 version. What needed changing with paint from the windows 7 version? It was perfect, it doesn't need updates.1 point -

It's really sad. Back when Microsoft started admitting that Windows phone was never going to be a viable business, they started talking about how they wouldn't miss the next big thing. It cannot be more clear that MS employees had zero vision about the direction of Windows. It’s now since a year or so that they are getting senses knocked into them. I never used 3D Paint and 3D builder even if was shoved on my face. I removed both those stubborn apps with powershell scripts. I even used reg tweak to delete that 3D Builder File explorer pane entry. The employee who predicted this 3D nonsense into Windows must have long left the company already. LMAO.1 point -
