Oh, I see you're familiar with Mozilla's MO. They always do this dumb crap. First give you control in about:config and then just remove it when it'll actually matter the most. Of course they don't add official setting for it in Settings page either. I was quite shocked when they actually added "Show Other Bookmarks" setting to bookmarks bar. The rest got so bad I had to write Firefox Tweaker tool so I can change bunch of settings in one click that would otherwise take me half an hour to adjust all manually through about:config (just because they removed ability to bookmark about:config entries). So annoying.4 points -

I'm actually surprised of so much hate. I guess no one actually uses it for their business. IT SUCKS if your small local business is in there and can't be accessed. I really want to believe it's blinded hate from most and not some childish reaction of envy. Small business strive because of social media, most noticeable since Covid3 points -

OneDrive sync client gets 64-bit support on Windows
matthiew and one other reacted to +Biscuits Brown for a topic
When you say "technically, AMD64", you are saying this build only works on AMD CPUs. But AMD64 is metonymically (as opposed to technically) used to refer to x64. x64 itself is a moniker for both Intel 64 and AMD64. It means when we say x64 we mean AMD64. Intel licenses the 64 bit architecture from AMD. All 64 bit implementation (Intel OR AMD) uses AMD64.2 points -

I really don't understand why they insist on constantly making pointless UI changes, especially ones that nobody asked for or like. If they want to do this crap, put it into a theme or something, don't force it on all the users who are happy with the way their browser looks/works already.2 points -

Who wants to bet this option will disappear once Proton reaches productive branch? Mozilla is notorious in doing this crap. I know right? Probably why this "will be done in participation with Ravenswood Family Health Network." Then, how about doing the vaccination there in the Health network? Khloe Kardashian tries to get unfiltered photo removed from social media 😢
+hedleigh reacted to Steven P. for a topic
As a member of one of the most famous and glamorous families on the planet, Khloe Kardashian is rarely pictured looking less than a million dollars. 🤑 The TV star and social media influencer and her team usually know how to produce the impossibly perfect image. 💃 So after an unfiltered picture was shared to her social media "by mistake" they were keen to have it taken down. 😯 They have asked social media platforms to remove it, although their efforts have spurred others to repost it. 🤮 The natural-looking family photo showed the 36-year-old by a pool in a bikini. 👙 The star appeared unusually unairbrushed: more like an image you would see from your friend's lockdown lido swim session than from any of the Kardashians' previous personal campaign shots for their various brands. 🏊♀️ Kardashian's team said this week the photo infringed her copyright. 😭 Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-56660476 If you dare to look here is the picture of the poor woman on this website https://www.news.com.au/entertainment/celebrity-life/celebrity-photos/khloe-kardashian-photo-we-were-never-meant-to-see/news-story/b51898ab84db00271a09410814706d56 Sending thoughts and prayers to the Kardashian family and the poor woman 😲😭😢1 point -

It's horrible to use, it doesn't download some of the time, it doesn't show updates some of the time (and you may think "oh well" but hell no, I paid for forza horizon 4 and join it and get kicked saying I need to update, go to the store and there is no option to update, similar thing happened with the short time I tried minecraft bedrock), and if you're lucky enough to even get it to download, the download speed you get is random, it's shown me an incredibly fast speed before which is about 10 times the speed of my internet, and at other times shown it essentially paused. I cannot name a single good thing about the microsoft store, because in my experience of using it, there hasn't been a single good thing, it's all been negative.1 point -

The plural of sheep, is sheep...I digress, do you know anyone who actually had pretty bad covid? The hospital wards overflowing with patients wasn`t enough to show you how serious this virus was! If it had been left to it`s own devices pretty much every country would have quickly ran out of ICU beds... There are a number of countries and states that never enacted considerable covid restrictions or have since removed restrictions such as lockdowns, mask mandates, curfews, shutting down businesses, etc. (more common now) and didn't have a significant amount Excess Deaths Associated with COVID-19 that other locations with restrictions have claimed to have had. Over the past year there has been enough evidence being published to support the removal of covid restrictions because the risk is far lower than it appears. Perhaps you watch too much fear mongering news and don't read enough into what's actually happening. Perhaps I actually have first hand knowledge of how this virus can affect people, and I`m not just talking about death! You believe whatever you want, just don`t come saying I`ve been swayed by "fearmongering" or not kept abreast of what`s been happening. Seen many x-ray/CT images of people lungs with covid/post covid? It`s not just about stoping people from dying, it`s about long term health as well... People have the choice to take precautions and to reduce exposure and now more people are having the choice to not take those precautions and resections (freedom and rights?). If people want to wear 2 masks, get a vaccine that wears off in x months time and still doesn't prevent people from getting covid and spreading it then that is their choice. I know older and obese people have a higher risk, so they should have the choice to stay home, etc.. I know many people (including myself) who've had covid and recovered and they should also have the same choices to stay home or to go out and not wear a mask, etc. BTW there are many examples of the news "fearmongering" such as saying hospital wards were overflowing with patients when most were filming the dancing nurse videos or were just over exaggerating. Ignorance at its finest. It’s not over exaggerating, I am talking firsthand with nurses who see the hospitals overflowing.1 point -
Facebook encourages users to get vaccinated with profile picture frames
matthiew reacted to shockz for a topic
Covid was literally the number 3 cause of death in the US last year. Stop being ridiculous. That is ridiculous... if you did research during that time you would know that "Died of covid" and "died with covid" were often used interchangeably. There are many cases that hit the news of people who were hit by a car or shot and so on and still considered covid related as the cause of death. That's one of the practices that has changed which significantly decreased the death rate figures from a year ago. The media usually only mentions the covid cases now because the deaths have been so low Completely false. How is this thought even still circulating the internet in 2021. This was disproven months and months ago.1 point -
