  1. So now Google plans to listen to everything instead of allegedly only for keywords, that's not creepy much, at least supposedly it is opt in.

  2. No thanks. Assistants need keywords to keep them in line. Say “Hey Google” faster if it’s an issue.

Why? Also, there are no problems. The 'plunge' is a dip, that you buy. And it's normal, not the first time. Lastly, every market "crashed" after this, not just crypto. Funny how whenever it dips people spell 'doom'. Due to nonsense sell of so much mining, hardware and electricity. Government should be just banning all crypto which allows mining. You should NEVER want the government to have that sort of power. Slippery slope...

No, if you ever sold your dogecoin for a gain of 1 million, your marginal tax rate would be 39.6%. High rates typically only apply to short term investments (<1 year) and it's highly unlikely for a small investment to lead to a million dollar profit in that time frame. Still, assuming a short term gain of 1 million with the absolute worst scenario for you as a taxpayer, you would owe about $347k, which is only $13k more than you owe under the current rate. In most realistic scenarios, you'd pay a lot lower. Even if Biden somehow increased the maximum rate on long term gains to 39.6%, you'd owe around 280k at most. And it doesn't go to him. Save your selective outrage.

One: that's just pure nonsense Two: It's impossible to ban computers used for mining given the obvious and add the fact that crypto itself can't be banned or directly regulated. That's the entire point of it being decentralized.

Amen! The US is at the lowest tax rates for individuals and corporations in the last 70 years. Do people even try to follow economics, or just like the bumper sticker BS Republicans put out? Maybe the 'leftist' should push to go back to the 90% tax rates of the 50s or the 70% tax rates of the 70s. BTW - The biggest tax cut in history - Barack Obama. (Weird, isn't he a leftist?) - The next biggest tax cut in history - John Kennedy. Again, nobody pays attention to anything beyond Republican BS. In economics, the strongest economies are during 'Leftist' administrations, the result of 'Leftist' tax policies. There are facts out there, and instead of of supporting people that hurt you financially, you could support people that are less '######' and will help your own economic interests. The Democratic model - the policies help you and poorer people at the same time. In contrast to helping just you. Also, even people with 'real money' - ($100 million plus) support the 'leftist' policies on taxes. Ironically, it is the people that aren't rich enough to be affected that bitch about the 'taxes'. Testing this... Wargon, you make over 5 million a year? If not, this isn't your fight. PS - The anti-leftist economic policies of Republicans come from a model to take money away from poor people of color. They KNOW they are NOT good economic models in general, but hurt poor people and minorities. This isn't conspiracy - see interviews with Lee Atwater, Buckley, etc. - This is all detailed in the words they use like "cut social programs". (Just in case you aren't a racist ###### and didn't realize the economic policy you were being sold is Racist.) ___ Don't believe a ######ing word I say - pull an economic chart of the US, pull a tax chart, pull a spending chart, GDP chart, Deficit chart.

  12. Any update so far on MS Office 2021?

Should be included since Office 2021 is simply a snapshot of Office 365 and OneNote has been included on O365 for at least a year now. Even if it isn't included, you could download it for free from https://www.onenote.com/Download They dropped the '2016' name from it some time ago. Now it reflects the version of O365 you have installed.

Amen! Testing this... Wargon, you make over 5 million a year? If not, this isn't your fight. Not yet. But if my crypto would by some small chance were to go to the moon, I would be annoyed getting taxed at 39.6% Well, if you're making over a million ... I'll play the world's smallest violin for your 39.6% capital gains.

  22. This is what all the computers do. This doesn't count all the spare laptops I have downstairs probably 20+ most are old and given from customers. I also have 2 all in one PC's unused downstairs not on my list. I think I hoard laptops from a child hood experience. Was at radio shack late 80's early 90's and wanted a laptop to program basic in the basement. Obviously they were prohibitively expensive at the time. I Think that's why I hold on to these! To have what i Never had as a child I still fire some of the old ones up and play some old games. This is my office .. or at least part of it. The two systems on the counters are my cloning workstations and workstations I plug hard drives into them and get files off them and or clone them and scan them for bad sectors. Those computers in the corner, some are just the case, some are the entire computer. Theater PC laptop which displays the security camera above my TV Brix Pro -old couch computer, use for video chatting on my TV Couch computer - Main upstaris workstation on the couch. Security Cam PC Macbook Pro - Not used much iMac - Not used much HP Prodesk at sara's house- Emby server Server - file server / emby server Basement ProDesk workstation - my main workstation downstaris Laptop at sara's house to work from her house. Spare laptop in car. - in case my laptop at sara's house fails on me Celeron NUC PC as my voice mail server P5 133 - old gateway computer to mess with dos games and other stuff. Chromebook I got for $5 at the it's $5 store. I never use it but I have it.

  24. As usual these remarks only apply to the tech savy. Forgetting that the overwhelming majority of users really don't have any desire having to do that all by themselves. Go build your own. Try replacing "OS" with any other item (like car, bike or fishing rod) to find out how absurd such a statement actually is.

  33. Dell Latitude 7320 review: The ultimate work from home laptop

Maybe it's a con in general at this price point. 2000 USD seems like a 4k price point to me. Perhaps... but I wasn't thinking about the price. I was just wondering why you'd want 4K resolution... over 8 million pixels... in a 13" laptop screen. It just seems a little excessive. And let's not forget that the GPU is responsible for pushing around all those 8 million pixels... ...on a business laptop. depends on the business model; if you're doing photoshop or video editing then every pixel counts. plus it makes more sense on a 13" display than phones IMO

  39. So people have asked for an icon on the task bar to launch news and weather? i can not see it myself. If I want news I open my browser and go to the news sites I use, not to what Ms think we should use./ If it works as well as Cortana did in countries outside the U.S, then I am sure that it will be turned off pretty quckly. i also can look at a weather site on my bro0wser if i really need to know what the weather is going to do and if they use the same company they used with the Weather App then i would certainly give it a miss. I know forecasting is not easy where i live, but they never got it right, at least the Met office do get the weather forcast near.

  40. You bring up some valid points but I think the ultimate outcome of Windows going forward is to run everything in a container so that dlls and other things aren't going to be a issue. Once you uninstall anything at that point the whole container is gone taking any leftover gunk with it.

I suspect the number of Apple customers who actually care about ease of repairability enough to impact a purchase decision for devices such as these is relatively low. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky

  49. You are not the target market and nobody bats an eye when they buy a tablet or a tv so for the vast majority of people the lack of upgrade options isn't a problem. There is a small geek community that likes to be able to do things with their property but it's small enough that most manufacturers can ignore. Is it a good thing ? no it's not but as a full on geek I don't think I've upgraded a laptop in the last 10 years but I can still use my 2011 Air or my 2014 MBP which both work just fine today. The need to expand isn't required as much as it was when laptops were in their infancy.
