I was able to even tolerate "they/them" pronouns but this is getting absolutely ridiculous. Wtf are these made up pronouns... "fae, faer, ze, zir, zie, xe, xem, xyr, co, cos, ve, ver, vis, vi, vir?"20 points -

I get people having prefered pronouns, but what pisses me off is when people get bent out of shame for accidentally saying the wrong one or getting ###### because YOU dont list YOURs. I don't care if you call me she, he, they, spiderman, or pumpernickel toast. Don't make it MY problem you feel the need to not only constantly remind others what you call yourself but see my lack of caring what I am called as somehow an attack on you.5 points -

Found this on bing. https://lgbta.wikia.org/wiki/Neopronouns I don't have a clue what any of these things are but i don't think its up to you to tolerate. They are doing their thing and you do yours. Not sure why you feel you have to "tolerate" something that has nothing to do with you but maybe thats just me.5 points -

I'm afraid you misunderstand what's going on here. Binary compatibility isn't the problem. Microsoft runs a support program as part of its software assurance contracts and what-not. This program is one of Microsoft's three main sources of income. Please notice how many times the word "support" appears in the article.4 points -

For me the solution is simple: Let people download their apps right from the developers website. For example: I could never download a Fake ESPN app because I would just be going to ESPN dotcom to download it. No need for Apple to monitor for fake Fortnite apps, Microsoft Office apps, fake Netflix apps, etc.... Just go directly to the developers website and download it there. You are assured to get the 'Legit' app from there. It appears that Apple's App Store give the illusion that there is safety everywhere in the App Store, but in really it is only as safe as Apple's ability to catch these fraudulent apps. Yet, Apple will forever use this reasoning to keep taking 30% of every Developers revenue. It is Apples perfect 'Lock-in' reason for doing so; to keep their customers safe. OR people can just take responsibility for themselves like they do in everything else in their lives and download the Apps from the developers themselves. But of coarse Apple wants to be the Big Brother watching over you, since while it costs Apple roughly $71 Million on average a year to maintain the App Store, Apple made $10.6 BILLION in revenue from the App Store last year. (It's pretty easy to see why Apple wants to be the watch-dog for everyone. They profit in ridiculous amounts of money to be your protector. It's the perfect scheme; again.)3 points -

I have found that people are very forgiving when it is an honest mistake. People that get a bit too bent out of shape, are often themselves still questioning who they are and their own identification. In that case, either ignore or be patient with them. This is hard stuff for the people in the middle of it, much harder than it is for everyone else that has to 'deal' with their identification.3 points -

Yup, as soon as I saw the headline I knew there would be a lot of ignorant posts here. I'm guessing there are a lot of people who've never met/spoken to someone with gender dysphoria, and what it means to them to be able to use pronouns that they are more comfortable with. The science is currently clear that gender and sex aren't always exactly aligned, and that neither are black/white. Why are so many upset that people are increasingly able to more accurately express who they feel they are?2 points -

Microsoft Threat and Vulnerability Management now supports Linux
Good Bot, Bad Bot and one other reacted to Dutchie64 for a topic
I see what you mean but it is what Microsoft says MS is clueless to the Linux trends... What makes you think that? Ubuntu is based off Debian. If something works in Ubuntu, it works in Debian, too. "Currently supported Linux operating systems include RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu. Support will be rolling out for Oracle Linux, SUSE, and Debian soon as well" Also, CentOS is dead now.. (not receiving security updates anymore) Roughly stated all Linux flavors are based on one another, but they're still vastly different in certain cases. Just the desktop situation alone will create a vast amount of variations and software issues. Just to say MS is clueless to Linux trends is clueless in itself.....2 points -

Guess you never heard of search engines. It’s basic respect to use people’s pronouns if they request it. Pronouns have always been part of language and we’re adding more for people that got ignored. If words are hard for you, that’s ion you. If you’re just refusing to be rude, that also only reflects on you.2 points -

Not everyone is a typical consumer. I've been waiting for three years for an update like this. This is a high end headset for high end graphics. England's NHS app to be used as vaccine passport from next week
tytytucke and one other reacted to ad47uk for a topic
The passport isn't crap, all that does is prove you've received the vaccination. What might be crap in your example is the requirement to be vaccinated to do things, or to go to places. The truth though is that while you still may be contagious after vaccination, most scientists agree that while the data still isn't conclusive, they would be surprised if vaccination didn't lower transmissibility by at least a small amount as seen in other vaccinations. So if that's the case, vaccine is better than no vaccine. It is the start of a slippery slope towards an I.D card, the government have come out today with that people will need a photo I.D to vote in the future, something I and thousands of other people don't have, so that will be a lot of people not voting, including me maybe that is what the government wants. As for the Co-vid vaccine passport, Boris can stick it up his backside.2 points -
