  1. Ok, so let me get this right, Bill hooked up with a female engineer some 20 or so years ago when he was already married to his wife who was also at one time a MS employee (or did we all forget that?). They ended it at some point but this is now a issue why? And is the post making it sound like the female engineer used her relationship with Bill as a way to get a better position in the company? Is that the crux of the matter the board had a problem with? Now if the affair came to light now and that's why he's getting divorced ok, but that's one thing, how that has anything to do with ones position in a company is another IMO.

  8. What ended their marriage is because Bill Gates is interested in underage girls https://www.nytimes.com/2019/1...rey-epstein-bill-gates.html" rel="external nofollow">https://www.nytimes.com/2019/1...rey-epstein-bill-gates.html What you hear everywhere today is an attempt to clean his shady hobbies So far all we know is that he visited Epstein. A lot of people were friends with him and we can’t assume every one of them were pedos. Bill has to work with a lot of despicable people. His climate change stuff requires him to engage climate change deniers in the republican part for example…so maybe he was looking only for epsteins contacts and money like he said.

  13. Gates is a public figure for his great work at Microsoft, his work in healthcare and philanthropy, his geeky nature and his scientific contributions. I don't care the least bit about his personal life to let news like this affect my opinion of him.

Cheaters are scum, no matter if they are adult or not. If you cheat, then you are backstabbing your most loved one, what's left for the rest of the people that worked with Bill Gates?.

  31. Yeah it can be hard to tell on bad hardware. To me the biggest announcement is 192KHz/24bit. You obviously have the right hardware to perceive lossless if you can handle 192/24. If you haven't heard content in 192/24 I suggest you do. It isn't something to brush off. I've heard it in a double-blind test at my local HiFi retailer and I have tested it myself using Tidal HiFi, Qobuz and some Blu-Rays on my local setup consisting of Hegel HD12 DAC, Schiit Magnius amplifier and Sennheiser HD800S headphones running all balanced cables. And at least to my ears, it's impossible to tell the difference. At least as long as you are comparing tracks that are originating from the same master. Obviously, when you start comparing a single track from Qobuz to the same track downloaded from an unknown source in lossy 256 kbps AAC there might be some striking differences. But those differences will be a result of bad encoding and using inferior masters. Listening to the same track originating from the same 24-bit, 192kHz master there is no way for me to tell the original master in its full 24-bit and 192kHz glory apart from a CD-quality lossless at 16-bit, 44.1kHz or even a lossy 16-bit, 44.1kHz 256 kbps AAC well-encoded file. And pretty much all studies on the topic confirms this. But our hearing will obviously vary greatly. Especially considering how our hearing is pretty much degrading from the time we hit puberty. So at the age where we have the greatest potential to get anything out of the higher sample rates and wider bit depths we are at a time in life where we won't have access or money for high-end equipment. And by the time we get to the age where we might start to care and have the money to spend our hearing will have degraded a whole lot. I do love great audio. That's why I'm spending quite a bit of money to achieve great audio. But all this 24-bit, 192kHz etc nonsense is pretty much snake oil at this point. Your money will be much better spent on tossing additional dollars on the equipment (headphones, speaker, DAC, amplifier etc..) and even on the equipment we quickly run into territory where the differences are more theoretical and not something you can actually notice in real-world usage. But at least switching headphones, speakers, DAC and amplifier will alter the sound reproduction and give you different results. Some will prefer headphones with a wide soundstage, some will prefer headphones that are more narrow and dense. Some prefer cooler and sparkly sound, others prefer warmer and more recessed sound. All of this can be easily changed and tuned by getting yourself different equipment. There are a ton of money that can be spent here. But spending money on getting bit depths and sampling rates allowing for the files to extended even further beyond the human hearing range and being able to offer dynamic range and distortion levels that already at a point where it's beyond what human hearing could possibly notice is simply wasting money. And this is what makes it so important that people do a double-blind test. You should do a blind test on great equipment so that part of the equation is not a bottleneck. But it should be don't on the equipment you don't have much experience with so you can't go by memory and you should have no control over what is currently being played back and all the tracks should obviously be coming from the same master so you are not comparing files that have been created using different source materials. Trying doing this and prove to me that you are actually able to consistently tell the different versions apart and I'll start to believe you. This is a good read: https://www.mojo-audio.com/blog/the-24bit-delusion/

Every time there was price increase for subscription services people stopped using them.

Isn't it sexist too? He got discriminated b/c of his gender and *she* got upper hand b/c of her *gender*? And that too in 2000. Come on!

  38. In correct. If you are cheating the most loved one is clearly yourself, not others. That is sad really. 😥 In any case, everybody could ask for a divorce so the excuse to be chained in a loveless marriage is weak. Also, some people excuse the YOLO and "I have right to be happy", to act like douche. It is so hard to do the right thing?. Anyways, Bill Gates will make many lawyers happy, and rich. He did it, he screwed it, and he got caught.

  45. Closed test gameplay leaks from Ubisoft's The Division Heartland

The second video has a giant GUID on the screen. Back when I was in some private Xbox One betas of yet to be announced AAA games someone leaked footage of a playtest, this taken very seriously. Future playtests got cancelled for a while and apparently legal action was taken against this person. With real private beats companies don't mess around, hence the massive UUID plastered across the screen here, making it very easy to trace this back to exactly who leaked the footage.

  48. China successfully lands its Zhurong Mars rover

It is, but then again when you're not the one trying to figure things out from zero it does help speed things up. Most of the tech needed to do these missions and the knowhow isn't really a close guarded secret like back in the space race of the 60s. It also shows how the US and Russia just sat on their hands for so long when, if they would've kept going the way they were, we'd probably have a few moon bases and a few moon orbiting stations already. And probably well into manned Mars missions. But what happened in the end is what normally happens when the political side of it is done with things and bows out.
