  6. Demi Lovato announces they're non-binary

Demi Lovato is non-binary and is changing pronouns to they/them, singer announces Demi Lovato is non-binary and is changing their pronouns from she/her to they/them, the singer has told fans. Non-binary people don't identify as male or female, and tend not to conform to gender norms of either. "Today is a day I'm so happy to share more of my life with you all," Demi, who's 28, wrote on Twitter. "I am proud to let you know that I identify as non-binary & will officially be changing my pronouns to they/them moving forward." Demi said they came to understand their gender identity after spending time doing "healing and self-reflective work" over the past year. Using they/them as pronouns "best represents the fluidity I feel in my gender expression", the Sorry (Not Sorry) singer added. Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-57169541

  7. It's easier to manually upgrade by just installing the enablement package MSU file (if you are already on 2004 or 20H2). Using the media builder tool will result in a full in-place upgrade, but the MSU file just takes a few moments and a reboot. 64-bit package: http://b1.download.windowsupda...02b3d7a1f40ec304c0548dd.msu

  8. Very weird they still haven't rolled out any new major UI thing in the dev builds. Are they going to wait until it is too late like with Windows 8 Disaster Edition.

  9. Hmm? Seems weird that page isn't on a secure site. Using Firefox 88. HTTPS-Only Mode Alert Secure Connection Not Available You’ve enabled HTTPS-Only Mode for enhanced security, and a HTTPS version of b1.download.windowsupdate.com is not available. Learn More… What could be causing this? Most likely, the website simply does not support HTTPS. It’s also possible that an attacker is involved. If you decide to visit the website, you should not enter any sensitive information like passwords, emails, or credit card details. If you continue, HTTPS-Only Mode will be turned off temporarily for this site. Oh FFS -- it's an edge-cached binary asset. The HTTPS-only world is great for web browsing, but is overkill for downloading cached assets. The "feel good" validation of HTTPS-securing every asset on the Internet is just unnecessary.

  11. Demi Lovato announces they're non-binary

Is she now I tend to agree. It is all about attention seeking and mental disorders. Do what you want, but I fail to understand why they have to tell everyone if it is really about being comfortable in their own skin. The sooner the world quits caring about what celebrities think and do the better off everyone will be. There are very few celebrities that can identify with a normal person's life.

I remember twenty years ago you could mostly tell by looking at someone what their gender was. Now, you're labeled insensitive if you presume male or female 🙄

I just installed it myself on my Pixel 4a 5G, and it went smooth as silk. No issues so far and I've tried all the most important things. - Made a call - Sent a text - Sent and received an email - Sent threats to a neighbour *One of those things might be a lie..

  18. Google is partnering with Samsung to revamp Wear OS

Tizen, at its core, was a fork from Android. So their Tizen components will simply get baked into the Wear OS... no biggie. Heck, Tizen was also deployed across their (Samsung's) other devices, including Smart TVs. "Tizen, at its core, was a fork from Android." This is entirely a lie lol

  25. Internet Explorer 11 is set to retire next year

It's usage in enterprise is probably low enough finally that they can ditch it. I'm sure they'd love to be able to just flip a switch and kill things overnight but that's just not how it works with something that's become "legacy". It only took someone 5 minutes to mention the "enterprise". #facepalm Please explain to me what removing IE on my personal PC has to do with "enterprise" users? I was commenting to the first part of your post, not the second. Maybe I should've edited the quote, regardless, since you asked, nothing.

  28. They’re based on hashes of passwords used in the breach (not the account itself), meaning your new password was still part of a breach. I think it will keep alerting you so long as the same password is used on any site you've saved in the password manager, I have this too 😐 The worst thing is I have started using "suggested passwords" which means I am kind of locked to Chrome unless I import passwords frequently to other browsers, and I now personally don't even know a bunch of passwords, I used to have 5 or 6 that I rotated, but each have been involved in some site breach 🤡🥳 Precisely. And, let's be honest, there are MANY sites where your password being compromised doesn't matter at all. Lots of places where there's no credit card info, etc. on file. So who gives a crapola if your password is, well, password, for example?

  29. Not really much of a surprise at all. Microsoft has a habit of removing "legacy" features that they feel are not used by a significant number of people. Maybe we are not talking about the same company. You have 20+ years of legacy (code, files, junk) on Windows 10 right now, they removing driver support is not a "habit". You could buy in 2006/2007 PC's (even after 7 release) without WWDM drivers (OEM stupidity). And many of those PC's have 10 running using XDDM drivers, not perfect, not great, but working.

One of my friends wanted me to share this. He claims that our governments are being infiltrated to bring a massive war. So, he urges you not let your government to participate in the war, because according to him it's a trap. That will destroy so many lives of children and innocent people. 34. Chrome's password manager is buggy with certain websites. For example, it tells me my Wikipedia password was compromised. If I change it to a new ultra secure super duper one never (re)used before with anything else, immediately it tells me the new one is also compromised. And so on. AWFUL. Also there is no feature to "don't harass me about these passwords again".

  35. Huh? It's just labeled "Offered by:" under the title of the app. In this example, it does not say anything about Microsoft. LOL Sure you can't "click" on the name of the developer and get a list of what else they offer which is a nice feature but it's obvious this app is not legit. I can't defend why this was in the store for a month.

  36. He engaged in improper behavior based on his position of power. Many companies require that employees report all relationships to avoid corruption and mishandling or people getting the upper hand. He was in the more powerful position and chose to have sex with an employee, that's why he faces the greater consequences. But this isn't about greater consequences, is it. If it were he'd bear perhaps 75% of the blame her 25%? He's facing all the consequences and the female employee is skating free. Exactly. And where was she for all these years? Smoking pots LOL

  42. Exactly. the bitcoin BS basically ruined the GPU market for gamers as prices for GPU's that used be be around $150 (which were decent GPU's, especially for around 1080p level gaming) are now more than double that price as it went from reasonable/affordable to not because of that crap and I suspect this will go on for years to come(?). but on the bright side... my current GPU (1050 Ti 4GB (which I got got $135 in July 2017 which shortly after that prices started to shoot up as I got a little lucky getting mine when I did) is still good enough for the games I occasionally replay from time-to-time. but I am thankful I am no longer into gaming like I was say 15 years ago or so (I still like a limit amount of games but I largely just replay games I liked from the past). but with GPU prices the way they are, even if I did get around to building a new computer in the not too distant future (but I plan on waiting for at least years from now before I get around to building another PC etc, possibly 2025+), ill likely just use my 1050 Ti 4GB GPU on that setup as there is no way I am paying around $400 for a GPU that should be half that price TOPS (since we are not talking anywhere near high end GPU's, but just decent ones) and for $400 one can get more than good enough motherboard/CPU/RAM etc. it's like all of this bitcoin BS ends up making PC building expensive once again solely on the GPU price alone. because I am more of the mindset that I would not want to spend more than $200 on a GPU, although I feel $150 is a pretty good bang-for-the-buck range, well used to be until bitcoin ruined everything and now any half decent GPU that you used to be able to buy at a fair price, is now unrealistically high to where I flat out won't buy any at their current prices as they are not even close to fairly priced. I wouldn't lay the entire fault of bitcoin mining as the sole fault of the GPU shortage. That ignores pretty much every major event that took place in the last year and a half. Between the pandemic causing delays (which does compounds/manifests into more issues), unprecedented demand for next gen hardware, mining, and the inability of retailers to properly manage their inventory and ordering processes - it all adds up to what we're seeing right now. New Xbox, Playstation, cars with computers in them, home appliances, so many things today with a demand for chips that basically hit a peak demand during or before the pandemic which has resulted in the shortage. Mining is just a fraction of the fault here. We were all told, months in advance, that there would be shortages, and no one was talking about miners really at the time.

  43. Joke Of The Day

Jack, a handsome man, walked into a sports bar around 9:58 pm. He sat down next to this blonde at the bar and stared up at the TV as the 10:00 news came on. The news crew was covering a story of a man on a ledge of a large building preparing to jump. The blonde looked at Jack and said, "Do you think he'll jump?" Jack says, "You know what, I bet he will." The blonde replied, "Well, I bet he won't." Jack placed $30 on the bar and said, "You're on!" Just as the blonde placed her money on the bar, the guy did a swan dive off of the building, falling to his death. The blonde was very upset and handed her $30 to Jack, saying, "Fair's fair... Here's your money." Jack replied, "I can't take your money, I saw this earlier on the 5 o'clock news and knew he would jump." The blonde replies, "I did too; but I didn't think he'd do it again." Jack took the money.

  47. People being made responsible to download stuff from a developer's website without any audit at all? Sorry, but that sounds terrible even on paper. I get that the App Store is not perfect, and nothing is, but your idea is even more problematic. This (download stuff from a developer's website without any audit at all) is what people have been doing for decades even in macOS. Where is the problem here?

  48. Apple rejected over 200,000 apps in 2020 for violating user privacy

No thanks. App Store all the way. Every app is screened to comply with strict privacy rules. Remove the incentive to comply with privacy guidelines then apps will be harvesting all sorts of user data. And people can be forever controlled by Apple's hand over this so-called security.
