  1. My batteries have been very sad lately, but I passed along this news and now they're cautiously optimistic.

  2. First Gen or Not, the 'bloom' is a effect of the base technology, which has limited dimming zones. Unless Apple adds in more active areas in a new version, the 'issues' here will never change. I think the main problem here is marketing it like it is some sort of acceptable OLED wannabe. It's the same trick TV manufacturers pull with LCDs, calling them LED, because they are LED backlit. The display tech is still LCD but LED sounds far better.

  4. 11th gen chips? Have you watched any video reviews on those chips? They're a waste of sand... Heat issues, lower performance than the previous 10th gen, so I don't know where you found that "intel is rivaling ryzen performance with the 11-gen chips"

  5. Never buy first gen of everything is the moral of the story. I’m sure it’s great for most stuff but unless you’re in a rush to get a new device it’s always better to wait. Cant remember the last first gen device that was a major success.

Well good for you able bodied individual. THIS ISN'T FOR YOU OR ABOUT YOU. THIS ENABLES THOSE WHO WERE EXCLUDED TO NOW PARTICIPATE. SIT DOWN. I'm registered as partially sighted. @deadonthefloor seems to have elected himself as the judge of what constitutes disability. That's kind of him... That's OK. Personally I find it quite useful when people come out and demonstrate their prejudices for me. Saves me the effort of labelling them appropriately.

It is not you want every vaccine or you are anti-vaxxer. There is a middle point, some vaccines are good, some are bad, some are useless, and so on. 11. Yes...this is what is needed (plus the infrastructure). I feel that once electric cars are fairly close to gas cars (with regards to "fueling up") than they will start selling more. A robust charging infrastructure needs to happen. Gas stations is the obvious choice to help with this ... but will they?

Vaccines are given so that the body can provide a protective immune response to viruses represented in the vaccine. Antibiotics are medicines which inhibit bacteria reproduction and are only useful for treating bacterial infections. Antivirals are used to treat infections caused by, drum-roll, viruses. Antivirus is a program to prevent/detect/remove malicious software.

  27. Having the vaccine does not mean you can stop taking precautions. An entire smaller care home with 15 fully vaccinated people got Covid-19 here. All of them. All of them had both rounds of the Pfizer of Moderna vaccine completed. Three of them were hospitalized, and 15/15 tested positive. So the myth that the vaccine makes you safe is just that, a myth. It might only prevent the most serious covid-19 side-effects, on some. But you can still get very sick. Also, just because you have the vaccine, you can still spread the virus to others who might not. The problem with the vaccine is that it makes people slackers because they think they are safe and untouchable...

In this case, they went for a cheaper, inferior solution and then marketed/hyped it as "revolutionary"...as we have seen with Apple again (don't include a charger) and again (use our iPad chips instead of Intel) and again (don't go OLED, go long outdated LCD backlighting) and again... The irony is that this particular choice also makes the iPad thicker than it needs to be AND have a worse battery life than if they'd just gone OLED/AMOLED.

  36. Does it take a "specialist in virus" to counter rubbish remarks like this vaccine "basically creates a new humanoid race." Really? That is a false dichotomy. It is not you want every vaccine or you are anti-vaxxer. There is a middle point, some vaccines are good, some are bad, some are useless, and so on. Now, Linus is not a specialist or work in the health market, so why I should care what he said?. He is a fake expert. he never claims to be, he just calls out some people's bullchit. As I said, about the pro-vaccines and anti-vaxxers, they are half-true, some vaccines are good, some vaccines are bad, and some vaccines are poison. LOL, ok. (⊙_◎) It is old but it is still valid. Pfizer: https://www.theguardian.com/wo.../health.healthandwellbeing1" rel="external nofollow">https://www.theguardian.com/wo.../health.healthandwellbeing1" rel="external nofollow">https://www.theguardian.com/wo.../health.healthandwellbeing1" rel="external nofollow">https://www.theguardian.com/wo.../health.healthandwellbeing1" rel="external nofollow">https://www.theguardian.com/wo.../health.healthandwellbeing1 Also: Trovan was approved in the US in 1997 for use by adults but not children. Two years later the US Food and Drug Administration warned that the drug could cause liver damage and it has since been discontinued. "some vaccines are poison" Trovan was an antibiotic ... not a vaccine. DOH? Vaccine is how is it applied now what it does. 🤦‍♂️ And Trovan was applied as a vaccine. Anyways, you can (but I really doubt that you will do) google it yourself and find more evidence of vaccines that were put out of the market because they were dangerous. No it wasn't. It was always an antibiotic. Regarding other vaccines, the burden of proof rest with you...so no I'm not going to "google it yourself and find more evidence"

  42. Starfield launches November 11, 2022 on Xbox and PC, trailer out

I was expecting a much sooner release date Hopefully no delays happen. Now that they're part of MS and have all that money, no need for Bethesda to rush out it's games and have them be buggy messes like before. I'd rather they take the time needed.

  43. Ventoy 1.0.46

This is what I use on Linux to create a multiboot USB stick as it's probably the easiest way to do it on Linux to (and you just copy/paste or drag/drop ISO's to the USB stick which is nice and simple). but the gist of it is... To install Ventoy = sudo sh Ventoy2Disk.sh -i /dev/sdX (where "X" is the location of your USB stick you want to use with Ventoy) To update Ventoy = sudo sh Ventoy2Disk.sh -u /dev/sdX (where "X" is the location of your USB stick you want to update with Ventoy on it) p.s. Linux version (along with Windows) can be download here... https://github.com/ventoy/Ventoy/releases

  44. I still don't know why they had to go and ruin the beautiful UI that Windows 7 had. All they had to do was just add new features on top of Windows 7 and call it Windows 8 without changing it visually, same with Windows 10 - just add new features on top and retain the nice looking UI. Right now Windows 10's UI is ugly, boring, blocky, it looks all over the place - Settings and other things look so oversized as if you're not clicking them with a mouse, but tapping them with a finger, it just doesn't make sense. Not to mention how ugly the UI is with the sharp corners, it looks like a temporary placeholder for a Pre-Early-Alpha test for a UI. And finally - Windows 10 is so unstable and these elements written in the UWP language or whatever it is called constantly break - disable Cortana or whatever and then your Start Menu stops indexing and newly installed apps don't appear in search results despite being there. Then you install StartIsBack++ and search works as perfectly as it did in Windows 7. I still won't forget that dick move that Microsoft did during Windows 8 - when people found out they can just copy the Start Menu files from Windows 7 into 8, edit some registry or whatever and get a fully functioning Start Menu, then when Microsoft found out, it was like a week or a month later, they released a patch so this stopped working... Imagine what kind of jerks they are - they don't like it when users make the OS work the way they want and is easier for them... I'm waiting for this Windows 11 on June 24 to see what is the big deal and will they actually create an UI that is not butt ugly.

  46. Exactly, I have seen many severe form of corona pneumonitis cases, almost all of them didn't take vaccine. People who have taken vaccine, got only milder form. Only seen 1 case of severe pneumonitis who has taken only 1 jab, but she recovered in no time with non invasive ventilation and steroid + Enoxaparin therapy. I highly recommend vaccine but never lower your guards because you can still spread or have milder variety of the disease.

  47. Because? A Covid 19 vaccination passport and lockdowns were a year ago also conspiracy theories........ Wow...vaccine passports are nothing new, check history of travel, especially to Africa. Lockdowns are nothing new either, they are just quarantines on large scale in an unprecedented moment in newer history.

  48. Because? A Covid 19 vaccination passport and lockdowns were a year ago also conspiracy theories........ You do have a point, yeah covid vaccinations should not be mandatory They do not have a point. Lockdowns were never a conspiracy theory. "Vaccination passport" wasn't one either. In any case, even if some conspiracy came to be true now, that doesn't imply every word vomit conspiracy theory must be true. The one mentioned in the article is one such example. It makes absolutely no sense. Exactly. As long as people throw crazy conspiracies at the wall, in the end one of them will stick, because they 'predicted' it... But due to social media all the crazy is more vocal these days, being able to connect to even more crazy. Truly and utterly so fed up with all this ****
