Performance-wise, a RTX 2080 Super would be a worthy upgrade from a GTX 1080 but it doesn't exist (only 2060 and 2070 Supers). If you're running at 1440p with a high-refresh rate monitor (120+ Hz), or 4K and don't want to drop far below 60fps, the RTX 2080 is a good shout.

Its been working out pretty well for them since 1975. But of course, Microsoft with all their knowledge of the OS business, that they own 80% of, should to defer to you, Mr guy from the internet, about how they should run their company and what they should produce. It’s a long time since Microsoft had anywhere near an 80% share of the operating system market. False and to be clear, let’s not play games and we will refer to PC specifically since that is what they are on. That’s what they are on. Not most people anymore, sadly. That may be—but it doesn’t invalidate the 80% figure.

Note that this is WordPad we're talking about, not Notepad. WordPad is a free word processor that Microsoft includes with Windows. It's basically like Microsoft Word, but much more barebones compared to the proper Office application. Notepad, on the other hand, is a text editor. That's not going anywhere, and that's not what this article is about. Read the site, they are taking Notepad out! it’s going to be a store app. First of all, the article does not mention Notepad at all, it mentions WordPad. Second, the app mentioned in the article to be a store app is the classic Paint app.

Not surprising, officially supporting games on Linux is a PITA, even with a multi-platform engine like Unity it's a pain. You get bug reports from people, spend hours/days debugging only to find the "super tech savvy" person decided to compile their own kernel and disable a module or change a flag that they thought was unnecessary but wasn't. With only 0.1% of players using Linux dropping support was a no-brainer.
