I prefer no logo at all. It's less conspicuous and less chance of someone stealing your expensive phone.

wont be nostalgia trend until they release an Apple ][e mini with oregon trail and word munchers

Are they getting that desperate trying to get people to buy their new phones ??? This has got to be a joke, surely ? Not a lot of innovation coming out at Apple for the past few years...

How does that prove that it's not a safe car? Your list from Reddit doesn't distinguish between actual auto-pilot/car faults, or drivers just being stupid. It's not reasonable to demand that it's 100% fool-proof, but you can't possibly deny that those vehicles are massively safer than human controlled cars. How many crashes are there per day in the US? Tens of thousands... How many deaths per day? Over 100... Not sure what you're trying to prove...

Same here. Sorry, but word processors are like can openers. Once they reach a certain feature level I'm good for life. And word processors happens to be one of those like products. To pay $99.00 a year or even $69.00 a year is so laughable to me, I wanna cry. Libre Office, Open Office, FreeOffice. Google Docs. There's just way too many other options that make this offer look overpriced.

Oh look, another chance for a bunch of the same people to say for the 457th time how much they hate auto-updates.

Maybe he should look into what happened to Netscape and Lotus?

still don't understand why OEMs bother with anything on the back let alone color variations since most people put their phone in a case now a days. Black and white variants should be all that's needed; anything else is mostly pointless as you will never see the back once a case is on.

Everything you posted proves the Tesla Model 3 is a safe car. The NHTSA gives it a 5-star rating on every category, which is the best score possible. That spreadsheet of deaths proves nothing. Driving is inherently dangerous and people are going to die in any vehicle. But are you less likely to die or suffer serious injury in one vehicle versus another? The Model 3 has been proven to be one of the safest vehicles on the road.

This is why testing happens. It'll be a far safer vehicle with this new change. Apollo used the "burst disk" methodology as a safety feature too on its' engines. ALL of them. I'm surprised that SpaceX hadn't employed them also; but hey -- experience becomes the best teacher and this kind of thing won't be overlooked in the future. Better that this happened now rather than later.

58% of all Windows 10 users are still on version 1803..it means Windows 10 pretty failed. I guess Microsoft wants to AUTO upset people with forced update.

LOL Slack is just an upgraded IRC service. Just as FB is eating Snap's lunch, MSFT is doing the same with Slack. (Even Groupon did such with LivingSocial, both of which should die like the cockroaches they truly are.)

Junk price really. Can get the same console with drive for $15 like already stated. Put the price at $150-$175, then that would be good.

It keeps intruders who can't be bothered to steal your hard disks out. To be fair if there is no encryption and they boot off some bootable media they can access your files willi-nilli

I might be wrong, but I'm sure a lot of people are paying for Office 365 Home for the family aspect and the fact that all six people get 1 TB of OneDrive storage. Granted, for those that don't like or trust OneDrive (or maybe even any cloud storage), then the question becomes if they really want to pay $ for the applications themselves. In that case, LibreOffice or other options are certainly worth seriously evaluating.

I will stick with Libre office and affinity publisher. I do not have to keep constantly paying for them.

Updates in the enterprise environment should be controlled with SCCM and group policy, if it isn't, then you should hire better staff.

that's why apple cases cut a big circle out of the backs... so you have a nice 2 inch diameter unprotected space to show off your shiny apple logo.........

"Tetris Effect, the PlayStation 4 exclusive from last year, is finally coming to PC, publisher Enhance announced today. The game will arrive on the new platform with additional enhancements next week, on July 23. However, Epic Games has managed to claim it as another exclusive for its store." So not actually coming to the PC then, just the Epic Store.

It's aimed at the people who want to try the latest software. Years ago, the situation used to be: LTS were supported for three years, and non-LTS for 18 months. Now LTS are supported for five years and non-LTS for 9 months. For most people, I'd just recommend sticking with LTS as most software vendors target this release anyway.

The 1st wind of yet another MSFT product failure blows, when their recently released product suffers a huge discount already. Unsellable stock in the warehouses.. nice forecast for the products future.

Okay - why isn't it worth it? It has taller specs than the Pixel 3a, which is barely cheaper on Amazon, is not under embargo - yet it is flagged why? (In my case, it is due to my owning a 3a - which is running RC1 of Q, and that I am quite happy with.) Razer has already announced their exit from smartphone market. Dropping $400 on a phone that is already declared EOL'd by its ODM doesn't bode well for this phone. So, its not worth it. Galaxy S9 for $349 is better than this [amazon prime day deal]

Exactly right. My buddy and I were looking at some items and he said there is my crockpot. He said on it's the ugly orange one. They had the same pot in about 10 different colors and only the ugly orange was for sale. Pretty clear that model was not selling so they were trying to get rid of the stock. Not a bad thing though if someone else doesn't mind the color.

I just don't use an Office suite enough outside of the office to justify a subscription. As it is I got Office 2016 for a one-off 20 CHF. It contains all the features I need for a suite at home, and if it didn't I would just switch to Libre Office or something similar like everyone else.

^ Idiotic post of the day award. Not really, either they are a threat to national security or not. If they are then he's right, if they aren't or weren't then what was the point of all of this. Considering the allegations they were throwing against Huawei, nothing they have done so far, as least publicly, has been a fundamental change. Trump is a threat, maybe he should be banned from twitter.

Dark mode is partially about saving battery on OLED devices. Using grey wouldn't save any battery power. Then again, doesn't hurt to have all three color modes (white, grey and black).

19th century called, they'd gladly take you back. Au contraire! There are many other 20th and 21th century methods of communication other than social media. They are still very reliable and certainly more secure/private. What is this obsession with having "instant connection" all the time--day and night? Because "instant communication" is something humanity has been working to achieve since their onset. What's wrong with walking? We can still get to point A and B, but people wanted to be more efficient so they invented carriages. Then as technology improved, that evolved into motor vehicles. We wanted faster communication so we invented the telegraph. But that wasn't easy enough to use so along came the telephone. The faster, near instantaneous communication from person to person is very much in our DNA.

You could argue that if they paid the tax they owed in the first place then countries wouldn't be looking to find new ways to get them to stump up cash. If the companies are really that upset then don't trade in France.
