How is this any different than just backing up the itunes folder?

What a joke of a piece of software. You can do this all yourself.

The site seems to list "backup your library" in about 30 different wordings, listing them as features.

Hi, I already used the software to transfer iTunes from pc to mac. I know I could have done it manually (found both ways here), but I didn't want to consolidate, back up, ajdust the iTunes media folder location, looking up my iPhone backups and get them transferred manually to the new location on my Mac. That's why I decided to transfer my entire library using Tuneswift (by the way I'd use it anytime again). The software backed up my whole iTunes libary in archives of 4GB (hdd formatting issue). When restoring iTunes to my Mac, TuneSwift automatically adjusted the iTunes media location and restored the iOS backups from my iPhone. Everything's back again in my iTunes library including purchases, apps, playlist folders etc. The iPhone stayed in sync with iTunes and I stayed Zen. ;-)
