Got it yesterday, and it's amazing. Even better than their last one. The new band members seem to fit in well. Can't name a single favorite yet, but the lyrics for 'Pet' are great, if you get the symbolism :)

Gonna buy it as soon as I get some money (at the end of the month).

Ramirez did the bass on the album, yes, but Iha has had NO part in the writing process, or recording process. I'm 60% sure that Ramirez had no part in the writing process either, just the recording.

Howderel did the guitars for the album, also Troy Van Leeuwen (old guitarist, in QOTSA now, used to be in Failure, whom APC cover on this record, check them out, GREAT sacramento early 90's rock) recorded some songs, and was there for the writing process too.

Iha has just played live so far.

i'd agree with you on that. i heard it on my way home from work and was just suprised that i didn't fall in love with this song the first time i heard it.

I love the entire album, just like the first one, and basically anything that Maynard is involved with.

Im having big expectation with his industrial solist project... :)

Even The Nurse Who Loved Me? Probably my least favorite. Just doesnt seem like an APC song.

is not, "the nurse who loved me" its a cover, but I shall say that it was funny

"Pet" without a doubt is the best song on the album...I like Mer De Noms much better though.

dont know, at first both albums were equally great to me, but 13th step is growing incredibly fast on me, is awesome, just listen to it 3 times in a row, right now is my fav apc album, way better than mer de noms

I feel the same, at least right now :)

It really grows on you.

Oh, and I liked "The Nurse Who Loved Me" too, it's pretty funny.
