iTunes Unknown Error 53

Question

I recently installed itunes, it converted several files from wma to mp3 and otherwise set itself up etc.

Some files were missing metadata which I have filled in manually and added the track numbers etc.

When attempting to finally sync to the iPod i get unknown error 53 as it gets stuck on a song, it has been the same song twice, but also other songs so is not just one file.

Then iTunes just hangs and ejecting the iPod doesn't work, I disconnect and then when I reconnect it Windows asks if I want to scan and fix it.

Does anybody know what this could be I'm desperate for help here as I've just blown money on this thing trusting that iTunes would be fine and not give me any problems like I predicted it would. just bought a bluetooth adapter for it as well so I need to get it going!

I had this error on one particular mp3 but at that time it didn't say which file it was, I ended up adding files per 10 until I found out the song causing the problem. Deleted from the library and it worked again.

Hope this helps

I have googled it a number of times and asked elsewhere believe it or not.

It was however some time after this initial topic was made I realised there is probably no way to fix thi without going thru every single file and seeing if they are corrupt...... out of thousands....

My music library was fine until I put it in itunes, what has changed the files, corrupted them, why have some missing metadata, surely the mp3s were just put straight into itunes and not converted like the wmas?
