Uninstaller problem

Question

I have Win 7 64 bit, I installed my copy of PowerDVD 6 but it had stability problems and won't uninstall correctly. So far I've tried using Advanced Uninstaller Pro 10, Revo Uninstaller Pro, JASC powertools, AVG PC Tune-up and Glary Utilities and, although it looks like it's gone, when I tried to install PowerDVD 11 (trial version) it detects the old version and won't install. The installer then replicates itself repeatedly until I reboot. Can anybody help please.

Thanks.

ps hello Keeley.

If you haven't already, try reinstalling PowerDVD 6. It might remove the old version correctly and you can click Cancel before installing it again.

Damn I hate such installers, by definition acting like a malware.

Ok I've re-installed version 6 then uninstalled using Advanced Uninstaller 10. Part of the process involves the program looking for leftover traces and uninstalling those as well. I noticed that one registry entry couldn't be uninstalled plus another trace/reference elsewhere. Presumably it's those that are causing the problem. When I tried then re-installing version 11 I got the same result as before.
