User account login on Windows XP

Question

Here's a good one.

I've got a call to sort for a customer in work. They have logged a fault saying that every now and again (this morning being one of these times), their XP build will boot and automatically log in! Now I've been asked to find out the reason for this.

The computer itself is a workgroup Windows XP computer, not employing the Welcome Screen, but the more corporate Ctrl + Alt + Del screen. Users are accessing the corporate LAN through a Citrix session via Web Interface. I've checked the Event Logs and I've checked the user account applet in Control Panel and nothing screams out auto login. Does anyone know of more detailed logs that I can maybe interogate the issue further?

I have even thought of how they've logged off/shutdown the previous day, thinking maybe Sleep or Hibernate, but they'd still get a lock screen once they power on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check for Nvidia auto update-- not to mention -- enabled guest account... just a few thoughts... also possibly the machine may not have been logged out when it was last in use.
