DootDootMan
Is there any way for me to span an ISO across 2 DVD+R discs? It is an ISO meant for a DL DVD discs. Thanks!
0 +Xinok Subscriber² Posted June 15, 2011 Subscriber² Share Posted June 15, 2011 If it's an install disc for a game or software, the simple answer is no. The installer won't work if the data is split between two discs.

Is there any way to mount the ISO and span the files? It won't work. The installer expects all the files to be on the same disc, so if there are any missing files, the installer will simply fail. You'll have to find another way to do it, e.g. install from a flash drive. Edit: If you're looking to burn the ISO to two discs for backup purposes, you can use 7-Zip (or pretty much any other compression software) to split the ISO into two parts. From that, you could extract the ISO to your hard drive at anytime. But if you want to install OS X from two discs, that's not going to work.
