Sponsorless
If you can't help, don't reply. I want to schedule a shut down task, cause I want to schedule a shut down task, why the hell I would want that? cause I want my computer to shut down. Does that answer your question? tagerd0g
I agree with sponsorless; if you can't help, don't reply. His reasons for auto shutdown is his business. There are several programs that will do it automatically, just do a search on google. You can also create a shortcut eg. Auto Shutdown and the target could be something like "shutdown -s" and place it in your Task Scheduler. You must have administrator priviledges too. In the command prompt, check out shutdown /? Oh yes, I just remembered another way. TechTV has an article using the rundll32.exe to create one click shortcuts for restart and shutdown. I haven't tried these on an XP box though. I believe you can add these to Task Scheduler too.
Sponsorless
Somebody told me that with the shortcut but it didn't work, I don't know why, and I tried to do it with get right, but if I'm not dl something from get right it doesn't do it. But thanx for the help.
