On Windows it still looks like a Windows 95-erra app, on Mac OS X it never made it past Tiger. :/ There is a "skinned version" of it by default as well, which looks more like other players these days. Updating the control buttons to current-day Aqua doesn't destroy functionality, at least not as far as I can phantom. MPlayer seems to be doing well in both areas.
