The Bible Code

Recommended Posts

Watched it on the History channel. Anyone else watch? I thought it was pretty interesting the way its predicted past and future events like 9/11 and the Columbia shuttle accident.

Future predictions

2010 - another earthquake in LA

2012 - comet hits earth

Dunno whether to believe it or not, but it was still interesting to me. I figure if it was total bull it wouldn't air on History channel. In any case, the future isn't written in stone.

watched it last week.. weird stuff.

didn't they mention something about a message in the bible code that says it was created by computer?

hehe, kind of made me think since they aren't sure who wrote it or where it came from. They were saying god, but why would god use a computer to created the bible code :pc:

Then they were discrediting the possibility it being from alieans who could see into the future or something but that made me think its more likely written by someone from the future since in the code it says it was done by computer. lol, or atleast that's what I'd like to believe.

how big do comets get?

They can be any size. One could be larger than our planet, or larger than the sun, it could even have its own atmosphere, and maybe some form of life that can survive with no light or heat.

It's definately thought provoking. I think some of these things are a coincidence, but there are some things they showed that were just too strange to be coincidence. I guess no one will really know.

Wasn't the Bible code proven to be false. It all comes down to the frequency of letters in the alphabet. Given a large enough amount of text the same patterns appear. The same passages/predictions which appear in the Bible have also been found in texts like Moby Dick and War and Peace using the same method.

Give an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, the theory goes, and they will eventually produce prose the likes of Shakespeare.

However, thanks to the internet, we now know this to be untrue. ;)

This bible code is mathematicly proven by all the worlds top mathmaticians, I belive the only reason for the Bible is to hide these codes. I do not believe any of the story inside is real.
