TheLegendOfMart Posted June 22, 2011 Share Posted June 22, 2011 Ive got an old Xbox Pro that is way outside of warranty, a chip has blown that regulates the power for the fans, the xbox still works fine but the rear fans dont work. If i was to take 12v from say the DVD power connector would it be safe to run the Xbox, i dont want the chip spontaneously combusting and burning my house down.
