I would explain what I voted for and why, but memNOC is probably watching and he'll make another stupid comment.

"Ghey sh1t."

"Brad Pitt will be here!"

So, there is really no point.

Being a male I prefer to play as males in games. Unless it's a fighting game like Soul Calibur 2 where the girls seem to be better than the men?

What's up with that anyway, why is Taki so badd ***? A man should be able to whoop the floor with her.

I prefer playing as a male character, as I am a male.

But when there's no choice, I have no quarrels with being a female.

Xenosaga for example.

Depends on who looks better, Most times its the man, DNSbehind can agree with me on that (Y) , Except for kartia, that lycrme was foxy. Af for matrix i choosed the asian kid because I dont like nyobis dreadlocks, I got a thing against dreadlocks... Dont ask. But shes will Smith's wife, so I give her (Y). Dude shes so hot without dreadlocks...

Actually it's neither for me... I have no problems with playing as a female, and that's what I generally play as - even though I'm a guy. Oh well.

I do like to have a little eye-candy while kicking ass.

Well said, which is the reason I chose Jill first in RE for the GC. Yum.  :p

Other times though I do opt for the male since I think I can relate more, being a guy.

more often than not, when given a choice, I play the male character. video games tend to make males slow and strong and females fast and weak. if given a choice of strategy in a game, i prefer full on melee rather than distant attacks or hit-and-run tactics, so the male character suits my style of gaming most often.

unless..in a situation where the female character's weakness is offset by some other advantage. for example, like mav said earlier, Resident Evil on the GC. I chose Jill. While she can't take as much damage as Chris, she has 2 extra slots in her inventory so she can carry more. Invaluable in that game.

female all the way. good question too. my girlfriend always gives me a hard time cuz she thinks i like checking them out...

i just think it's funny when my macho friends pick the macho males, and then i beat them with the little hot girl. i guess it's just so "common" for the guy to use a guy, i like being different. :)
