So I've currently got VMWare Workstation v7.1.3 installed on my PC
From there I've installed ESX 4.1
Within ESX I originally attempted to install Windows 2008 R2 (64bit) but the installer popped up saying the 64 bit OS was not supported on the platform. I did a quick google although I can't find the link now I'm sure it stated 64 bit OS was not supporetd within Workstation which at the time I thoughtw as odd.
Hmmm, ok so I install the 32 bit version but low and behold vCentre Server can only be installed on a 64 bit host.
Dang and blast!
Am I right in thinking Workstaton v7 can host 64 bit OSs and how can I figure out why mine won't install?
PC has the latest BIOS installed and as stated VT is enabled.
I'm trying to get this working so I can have a play about before my course without having to go out and buy something daft like a Proliant Microserver.
