DEVLDR32.EXE error

Recommended Posts

I just recently started getting this error. Everytime I restart my computer it say something like DEVLDR32.EXE error dailed to initialize or something like that. How can I fix this and what could have caused this.

NOTE: This started happening after I was messing around with Styles XP.

I could be wrong on this but the only time I was having a DEVLDR32.EXE error come up was when I was having problems with my sound card. Of course those were the days that the offical Sound Blaster Live! drivers were not released yet. Other than that I'm not sure if that executible is used for anything else. But like I said I could be wrong.

You need to boot up in Safe Mode and delete the file. The Windows system file protection (or whatever it is called) won't let you delete it because it thinks it is a vital system file. You can also replace it with the original devldr32 from the Windows XP install disk while it safe mode. The Creative version of devldr32 is hosed. Hope this helps.

ok sounds good but I uninstalled the creative stuff and now I don't get that error but that ****in file is still there and running and I can't delete it but she just keeps comming back for more. Also now I can't play Unreal Tournament with sound it always freezes and I don;t know how to fix it and yes I uninstalled it and reinstalled it.
