A simple search program

Question

Ever since Vista, Windows defaulted to a search system similar to Copernic, which was nice to have as an extra, but I really preferred Windows XP and earlier's system for searching for files, and searching for a particular file name doesn't work nearly as well as it used to. So, has someone, somewhere created a program that just searches for file names?

Im more of a fan of http://www.locate32.net/

Biggest reason,

1.10 Can "Everything" index a mapped network drive?

No, "Everything" only indexes local or removable NTFS volumes.

To search a networked computer you will need to run Everything on both computers.

Well how do you index stuff that is on your NAS or some other share that everything can not run on? I for one like an index of what is on my popcorn hour, which everything will not run on. Where locate32 will index mapped drives just fine.
