I'm thinking Twitter might be a good choice to replace other IM programs with buggy protocols that always cause problems for one contact or another (maybe twitter will too eventually, but no way to know until I try it), so I'm trying to find some twitter clients with good DM support, cross platform is nice, but if there's a good mono-platform one to work with that'd be great. Any platform suggestion is fine, I know people who use iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Windows Mobile, Symbian, OSX PPC, OSX Intel, Windows, Linux.... I don't think I know anyone on BSD, but if I do, the Linux solution would probably do the trick.
I personally have Windows, OS X for Intel and an .rpm based Linux distro to work with.
