Intelligen
Home or Pro? Only pro has remote desktop terminal services, Home you can only send an invitation to connect too it.... Better off with TightVNC

semifamous
Yup. TightVNC or UltraVNC. I like the UltraVNC because it means I don't have to set up an FTP server to send and receive files... =) It's very useful for getting files from home that you wanna work on at school or for sending to your home puter in case you forgot a disk. You need to be able to install this on the puters that you want to access from: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/dow.../rdclientdl.asp Of course, that's very unlikely that you'll be able to do that at school.... With VNC, all you need is a java-enabled web browser. =) The schools usually have those.
Steven
ive got pro... the school computers have 2000 From School? Either install the Remote Desktop Connection Software on the PC you want to connect from (get this from microsoft.com) or Install the Remote Desktop Web Connection and you can use Remote Destop via Internet Explorer. Intelligen
Ok what you need to do is then make sure the school computer you have the remote desktop CLIENT on it... you have to download it from microsoft for those. Then on your Pro computer, right click on my computer and go to remote tab and make sure "Allow users to connect remotely to my computer" is CHECKED. Then just use the client and enter the ip and enter your username/password for your computer.... I highly recommend VNC though because the client for that is small enough to be put on a floppy and requires no install unlike the Remote desktop one so if school computers are locked down your screwed. Try the VNC client man, its very easy to use.
Intelligen
I did forget about the Web Connection too... but once again using the highly insecure IIS....
