V3L0C|7Y
With the recent reports of Xbox Live-enabled software "phoning home", I'm a little wary of my xbox doing something I don't want it to do. I really don't want to end up banned either since it's modded. I don't currently subscribe to XLive, and probably won't be any time soon, so I want to prevent access to it. The problem is that I need the domain address or the IP to block it at the router. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there any way to tell if I've been banned without signing into XLive? What happens if you try to sign in with a banned xbox?
pizza
I would do this to figure out which IP the XBOX is phoning home to: 1. Diable internet access by unplugging your cable/dsl modem to ensure xbox CANT phone home 2. FIre up a IP Packet Sniffer on your PC 3. Start XBOX Live and watch packets going over the network. 4. Whichever IP or Domain name the XBOX is attempting to send packets to is probably a good one to block. WHat do other people think?
