-:LaNcElOt:-
I imagine you have tried to modify the speed and acceleration ? Have you tried different drivers ? Have you tried to delete the device in the device manager and then reboot ? What kind of mouse is it ? Try cleaning it. Hope I could help.

grimman
sounds like them wireless mice to me, with a pretty bad battery problem. or the mouse is just not compatible... (unlikely huh? ;))
grimman
oh... assuming you are running win2k (if you aren't, you're prolly able to find your way somehow :)) control panel > add/remove hardware > next > uninstall > uninstall > show hidden then look for your mouse and delete all references. chances are you have double mousedrivers installed which are interfering with eachother... maybe it's a good idea to plug the mouse out first tho ;) reboot after that and try it out. and if it's an USB mouse, then use the USB-port. use adapters only if you don't have an appropriate port. Toxikk Veteran Posted January 8, 2002 Veteran Share Posted January 8, 2002 mine did that sometimes. i have a microsoft intellimouse explorer optical. i would shutdown with the mouse out of the ps2 port in the back. reboot. wait for your bios to appear, then plug it back in. kinda ghetto, but it worked for me. Toxikk Veteran Posted January 9, 2002 Veteran Share Posted January 9, 2002 pull the mouse out. reboot. plug the mouse in right before the winxp screen comes up. also, you might want to do a "clean install" of XP instead of upgrading...

baphomet_irl Veteran Posted January 9, 2002 Veteran Share Posted January 9, 2002 u dont - that wont make any diff i think.... basically it is becos optical mice are unable to trak fast enuff for 'twitch movements' (i.e. very quikly turning around and railing).. I am sure there will be ppl who will deny this - but that is the facts - u could try speeding up the mouse sensitivity - but this will make u less precise. I have one of the silver Intellimouse's - but I dont use it for this reason - I use the bog standard Intellimouse with wheel - its a pain cleaning it - but at least it works when I really need it..... PS - another thing to try (althou I doubt it'll solve it (but it might help), is to go to: control panel/mouse/hardware/properties/advanced settings - and put sample rate to

mtgriffith
I assume that you went throught all of this http://www.logitech.com/cf/support/1227.cfm already. I'm pretty sure that mouseware includes the latest drivers too. Do you have the latest version 9.41.2? http://www.logitech.com/cf/support/mousefiles_wxp.cfm
Xcalibur
It has nothing to do with drivers.. an optical mouse takes pictures of ur desk at a few hundred pics a second.. ur mouse is probably a slow one, so it cant take the picutres fast enough...with optical mice.. you cant move them around very fast without skipping.. the newer opticals out dont skip anymore...
