SGS2 hands down. Nexus S is not even a worthy comparison and already somewhat outdated. Next best alternative imo is Moto Atrix.

There's no competition here at all really. Galaxy S II is probably the best phone you can get with Android at the moment period.

unless you get nexus S for free, galaxy S II seems to be a better purchase

SGS2 seems to pretty much trump any other phone on the market right now. Head and shoulders above any other Android - and my PERSONAL OPINION is that it wipes the floor with the iPhone and WP7 offerings.

I have had mine about a month now, and I've yet to experience 1 fault or dislike with it.

Don't choose Nexus S over Galaxy || even if your life depends on it.

Galaxy S2 without a doubt!

Nexus S is one of the best android phones but probably can't compete with these new dual core monsters.

I'm in this boat too, i just sold my Galaxy S and want something else. The GS2 is so freaking expensive right now but that's the phone i've been dreaming about now for a little while. I'd definitely get the GS2 instead of the Nexus S right now (if monies can afford :D)

The only reason I wouldn't choose the Galaxy S2 is for lack of NFC.

I am a huge NFC junkie. :D

That's the thing.. I drool at the GS2 all the time, but it's half a ?grand to buy!! I could buy a new car for that!!

Plus I have to think that I wouldn't really use it any differently to my Desire other than maybe using it more instead of my desktop PC.

So as much as I want the GS2.. nah, if I'm going to spend ?500+ on a device it's going to be the galaxy tab 10.1 when it comes out here :p

The Nexus Prime will be the next good nexus phone from Google, that will compete, but not the nexus s

If price is not a problem, the Galaxy S II hands down. The Nexus S is great but it like a generation older, so to speak.

Then again if you can get the Nexus S cheaper enough it might be worth getting one instead of the S II. It's not as good as the S II but it's still an excellent smartphone and you'll get vanilla OS updates straight from Google.

If you are buying the phone outright Nexus S might be a better solution as it is about $400 now on Amazon. Unlocked and all.

S2 though it much more advanced phone. It's the next gen compared to Nexus S.

I just picked up S2 for myself personally from here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875176292

Ha.. I bought the last one.

galaxy s 2 no doubt, got it myself and it's worth it.

the lack of nfc is disappointing but can probably add it at later date with the whole sticker thing.

Reviewing Samsung Galaxy SII from Samsung at the moment :) Love the phone - fast, sleek, slim, high quality display, etc. You won't regret it assuming you love the Android OS, of course
