Detection
what do you think bottled water is? Filtered through the volcanic rocks of an undiscovered island inhabited only by virgin mermaids who collect the drops in pearl covered oyster shells, fill magic bubbles with the purest of pure water, and float them on clouds to the local cash'n'carry Of course. Why, where do you think it comes from ?
Hum
not that I want conductive water, but if its not conductive it don't have any minerals in it. Some argue that if you drink distilled water, and urinate any of these vital minerals, that there is a net loss. I get the impression that the dissolving/extracting power of distilled water is very high, and that drinking it will draw out many good chemicals (in addition to the bad impurities) from your body. Oh for the love of god. You don't want inorganic minerals in water -- those are not good for you. You get the good minerals from FOOD. I drink distilled water as much as possible, and I am fine.
DocM
I grew up on a farm with pumped well water - mineralized and tasty as hell. No ill effects, and I save distilled water for the steam iron, car radiator and lab.
