Drag and drop app that would allow for zip file uploading to my pc?

Question

I was thinking of using dropbox as way to get all my friends to share our vaca pics. Now I'm thinking I want something that is a more direct connection to my PC. I have a FTP server but friends are not that computer literate so I would rather avoid having to explain to them that. I'm wondering if there are any alternatives but apps that reside on pc.

you could always set up a live id, and use mesh on both signed in to the same account. The old mesh used to be able to share folders with different users, I don't think it can do that now, so using one live ID on two machines and syncing a folder could be useful.

if they use ie they can type in ftp://mywebsite.com

go to view, open ftp site in windows explorer

then they can drag and drop till the cows come home.

Windows Explorer is terribly slow at displaying FTP websites, especially when there are lots of folders (try going to ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/ and compare the loading time to what it takes in IE/FF/...). :(

Point was it could take 20 years but there isn't anything special a person with little computer experience would need to know.

No one stated has to be fast or slow, just that noobs would need to how to use ftp.

"I have a FTP server but friends are not that computer literate so I would rather avoid having to explain to them that."

So let's stick with the kiss (Keep It Simple Stupid) method in this case, k?
