Frank
Are you sure the ISP is causing it? I had a user have a similar problem, and It turned out she had a variant of the blaster virus. I would download the recent DAT files from the Anti-Virus software that you have.
ramesees
Do you pay a monthly fee and connect through a freephone number (0800 or 0808) ?? If so then thats normal, its the price you pay for unmetered access, same with Freeserve, and BTOpenWorld etc.... Nothing you can do I'm afraid BTW I'm with Freeserve
Evizu
is this 2 hour rule stated within the contract, and if it is then its server side and there is nothing you can do, the server will cut you off after two hours, the only option is to set up scheduled tasks to connect to the internet every two hours.... JSemple3
If I have to say a ISP (I know what some will say) Go with AOL. I've been with them for 2 years. 15.99 Lots of numbers to dial up with I admit but NO cut off times.

.KICK
hmm, with payg you dont get cut off as some recommended by , its different dunno why, 2 hour cut off are a pain, i used to be on fs anytime when they didnt cut off :D but it soon came , didnt effect me for a while though, aol are good for not cutting you off but still their service is rubbish , luckily we were one of the first to get our exchange upgraded (Y)
snippet1
I have cable now, so I don't need to worry about this stuff :D. But I used to have AOL (horrible, horrible times :pinch:) and I remember that after 2 hours there was a cut-off if you were inactive, but there was also an inevitable 5hr cutoff.
