Jack Handey
When I open winexplorer or any folder, xp "hangs" for merely a second before the window is opened. It seems like it's doing something with the floppy drive, cause the floppy drive buzzes just before the window opens. Like xp is looking for a disk in the drive or something. This has not been a problem before, just started happening recently. Very, very annoying. Any ideas?

radioboy
Have you changed any autorun settings? I used to use a program called MoreProperties and there was an option to autorun floppies. This had no effect except Explorer scanned the floppy drive every time I opened it.

Hmm, that sounds like it could be it, but unfortunately disabling floppy autorun doesn't seem to work. Guess I'll have to disable the floppy completely til I find a solution.
