Using MSN Messenger at University

Recommended Posts

Hi, just connected the notebook to the network, p2p blocked (unblocked via http tunneling :alien: ..) and everything works fine... But MSN connects, i can send instant msgs and send files too but i cannot use any other feature, such as voice, video, whiteboard, applications etc... Ive tried all different kinds of proxy settings, an the only one that works with MSN is not having any proxy set, to be able to send IMs and files. Else its just doesn't connect. Any ideas?? I tryed tunneling msn b ut it wont work...

the University would have to setup uPnP or enable port forwarding on their routers.

But sending Video ot Audio is one of the main deatures of MSN, and I don't think it uses alot of bandwidth. Is there any way I can tunnel the specific video/audio transfer port thru the ports that are allowed? I mean eithout setting the msn proxy to localhost and 1080, but only the video/audio transfer ports?
