Really Wierd Problem. HELP!

Recommended Posts

Well I just got a new computer and I have a really wierd problem.

I can surf the web no problem until I start downloading something, and while downloading it tells me if I try to go to any webpage that it has no data. But as soon as the download stops everything is back to normal.

This happens with my two browsers, mozilla and IE.

Please help, this is a really anoying problem to have.

Thanks

Maybe your computer (the one that is messing up) has a wireless issue ? try changing out the network card with another computer and see if that clears up the issue... this is an odd problem tho lol

You mean when you are downloading something with IE ?

If so there is a registry key that limits the downloads (which includes loading the site+pictures) at the same time. You have to raise that.

Can't remember the key tho :blush:

but most freeware tweak progs have the option to change that :D

the key is:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/InternetSettings

add the values

"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=Dword:0000000a

"MaxConnectionsPerServer"=Dword:0000000a

you can change the 0000000a to whatever you like. i just used 10 as an example.
