Ravager
In Outlook 2003, all my attachments are blocked, and when I looked in the help file, I came across this: To provide enhanced security, Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 is designed to prevent you from unblocking attachments. Now why the heck did MS do this? Do they not realize there are people out there who KNOW what they're doing with a computer? Having that said, is there any way to use the registry or something to unblock attachments?
SanGreal
Well, like that help file says, you'll need the Office 2003 Resource Kit. (Specifically the Outlook Administrator Pack) http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/2003/tools/BoxA10.htm Make sure you read the installation instructions, because the Outlook part isn't installed automatically. Once you open it, you'll see all the attachment settings on the first tab

WinMaster
Microsoft has blocked all those attachments for people who can not comprehend that they should not open files from people they don't know. As a system administrator, I feel your pain on this subject. However, in Office 2003 you can allow any attachment you like by editing the registry, without the Resource Kit. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security Create a new key of String value and call it "Level1Remove" (minus quotes) For the value, simply place all the extensions you DO NOT want Outlook to block and separte them with a ; Restart Outlook, and all blocked attachments will appear. Please note that is a per user setting. Hope this helps, WinMaster
