Need help changing password on XP PC at work

Question

Hey guys if you could give me a few ideas how to change the admin password on a windows xp computer I would really appreciate it. The situation is that the teacher cant log in to the computer (shes new and doesn't know any passwords) The staff at the school is no help either and dont know, and I'm basically the new IT guy there. I tried using a ERD disc to change the password, but once it starts to boot from the disc, I get an instance blue-screen. I wanted to do it through command prompt but from what I know safe mode is the only way to go about with that. And you would still need to log in to do that. Any other ideas?

Try to boot into safe mode. If they didn't lock the admin account you can just logon (its hidden for normal login on typical install) and remove the password. There are several utils you can use but I'm hesitant to mention them if there are rules against it here.
