leesmithg
Hello, maybe some of you remember what it was like on dial-up many years ago and products like NetSonic and the pro version were a must. NetSonic had spware, pro didn't that's why you paid for the pro version. Many years on my speed isn't dial-up but slow broadband with a small allowance (GB per month). NetSonic isn't available for me now as I am on Windows 7 Pro x64. So my question is: ''is there a freeware alternative that is similar to NetSonic or Pro version''? If you can post a link to the site, then thanks in advance. If you didn't know, NetSonic saves web pages so next time you access the site you only download new content. You can also browse them off-line.
0 +Xinok Subscriber² Posted September 8, 2011 Subscriber² Share Posted September 8, 2011 Web browsers already do what you're asking. Firefox also has the option to "Work Offline", but I'm not sure about other web browsers. To save bandwidth, you could install an adblock or flashblock. There's also Opera Turbo which compresses web pages by routing through their servers, further reducing bandwidth.
