Software to change/reset background image every 10 mins

Question

There is an annoying guy at work who keeps changing the background to something random, so I am looking for a program which can be run to reset the background image to one specified every 10 mins or so.

It must be simple and not really installable though as the machines are pretty locked down.

Thanks!

You might want to see if you can change the background using a batch file, & if that works use Windows Scheduler to launch that batch file to launch every 10 minutes. I've never done it myself, it looks like you'd have to make changes in the registry?

Otherwise John's Background Switcher is great for this purpose, but it needs to be installed so it won't work in your situation.

Well at least you read his ost and not just the title...

Pretty sure it can all be done with scheduler and some windows command line or powershell knowledge.

But yeah, just lock your computer

If the machines is pretty locked down, why don't you just prevent him from changing it in the first place?

Is this not a machine you manage -- does this guy have local admin rights?

pretty locked down could mean anything. can't install crap, or has access to 1 application and has no way to use windows. definition of pretty locked down is open for debate.

question still stands, what os?

IF your on a windows domain why not use group policy. You can make it so that you set the background and that the user cant change it. Via group policy you can even lock them out of the control panel apps so they cant change it at all.
