+John Teacake MVC Posted September 22, 2003 MVC Share Posted September 22, 2003 Hello People, Today i fired up my pc and my wireless network software detected another rouge network (apart from my home one). I was just wondering what it was because i live in the middle of nowhere and its unlikely that someone else will have a wireless network near me (theres hardly any houses with computers). i was wondering if it might be a network that i could get wireless internet, i so hope it is. I have included an attached image. The only thing was that it has a strange SSID. I was wondering if anyone picked up this network.

+John Teacake MVC Posted September 22, 2003 Author MVC Share Posted September 22, 2003 (edited) you don't have WEP enabled on your wireless network? it'd be funny if thats some other guy leeching YOUR internet hehehe Theres no one that would be leeching my internet. I have crappy dial up (broadband not avalible or i would have it  ) there would be no point and there would be no one to leech off it. It just looked strange. the computer thats picking it up is never connected to the internet. My pc picks it up my laptop doesnt. I didnt think there was any point putting WEP on it, first there would be no one to steal my bandwidth and secondly its only a home network for sharing printers etc nothing private on it.
