Tim Dorr Veteran Posted September 23, 2003 Author Veteran Share Posted September 23, 2003 Yeah, the standalone installers have been removed as well. Guess we've gotta wait until 10.2.9 :s
PureEdit
I didn't like 10.2.8, so I went straight to 10.3 7B74, and it is working great :p

Martog
There seem to be numerous issues with 10.2.8 and hopefully a patch will be out fairly soon...I am not experiencing any as of just yet, just hope no one running servers update and run into problems. HuRR
I see so a 10.2.9 is probably next. I'm having no probs.
wtmcgee
maybe they'll make a 10.2.8.1 ;)
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted September 25, 2003 Author Veteran Share Posted September 25, 2003 Most people are not having problems. The only issue that cause it to be pulled was a problem with networking on a specific revision of the quicksilver g4's. The network controllers in those particular machines don't like 10.2.8... Martog
I read about where some iMac and eMac's won't boot into OS X after the reboot or a power down, that and powerbook battery life reductions.
wtmcgee
the only problem i'm having is the battery life indicator is all screwy. it says i only have 1 hour and change when i have a full charge, and it actually lasts for mre than that.. but the time and % is all messed up. the actual battery life is about the same (3-4 hours, i've timed it) though. oh well, maybe a future update will fix the indicator.
