"PC is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this...&#34

Recommended Posts

I want the laptop to access a folder on PC.

Both systems running Windows 7.

Network discovery is enabled on laptop and PC.

The folder I want is shared (confirmed by going to Start > Network on PC, double-clicking my PC and checking the folder appears).

I go to Start > Network on the laptop and double-click on the PC name but I get the following:

PC is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

Logon failure: user account restriction. Possible reasons are blank passwords not allowed, logon hour restrictions, or a policy restriction has been enforced.

The PC does not have a logon password. I don't want it to have one. Is that what is causing this?
