Chasethebase Reporter Posted October 1, 2011 Reporter Share Posted October 1, 2011 Something I was wondering, if you use a 3rd party browser, which do you use? I'm currently taking Dolphin browser for a spin and so far it's pretty good.

Shadrack
Right now I'm just using Safari. I occasionally will use SkyFire if I want to watch a flash video, though. When Apple boosted Safari's javascript with their whole "nitro" thing back in 4.2, I recall there being somewhat of an outcry from app developers that the web rendering API that they could use within their applications did not receive the same boost in performance leaving a lot of third party web browsing apps at a disadvantage. Did they ever fix that?
Denis W. Veteran Posted October 4, 2011 Veteran Share Posted October 4, 2011 Mobile Safari's great on fast networks and viewing iOS-optimized sites. Opera Mini's great for viewing non-mobile, content-heavy sites with a small level of page layout corruption. Would be great if Apple can, one day, relax app store requirements and allow alternate rendering engines other than WebKit shells.

ccoltmanm
Dolphin is my favorite. I wish I could set it as the default browser that other apps open though. This post should have a poll. witalit 1 Share
